The "Arizona is full of sleepers" slogan has been coming to a close for a while now, as Arizona athletes are no longer sleepers, but top recruits. It has been proven that the talent here is elite, and recently, some big time programs have taken notice of what Arizona has to offer. When the National Champs come knocking on your door, it obviously turns some heads. Here's a look at 5 Arizona athletes that have drawn SEC attention:
[player_tooltip player_id="42782" first="Anthony" last="Lucas"], ATH, 6’5" 280lbs, Chaparral HS (C/O 2022)
It’s no secret that Lucas has been pulling in offers from every direction, but he has recently been drawing a ton of SEC offers and attention. He holds over 20 offers, and the past few weeks have be busy for him. Just the other day, he was offered by the University of Georgia. Then a few weeks back, he was offered by the University of Alabama, then followed that with an offer from Auburn. The kid is a flat out beast. Although he did hold previous SEC offers before the season, the sudden SEC spark for Lucas has also been seen by others here in Arizona. He’s dominant up front with position versatility along the DL. His athleticism is off the charts and it will be very interesting to see what more offers come his way, and where he’ll end up later down the road.

[player_tooltip player_id="42785" first="Benjamin" last="Morrison"], DB, 6’0" 175lbs, Brophy Prep (C/O 2022)
Morrison just turned everyone’s head in the state of Arizona, as he recently picked up an offer from the University of Alabama. He also holds over 20 offers, but there’s something different once Bama comes knocking on the door. He’s solidified himself as the top DB in Arizona, and his talent is on full recognition. An excellent all around athlete that excels on both sides of the ball at the high school level. Twitchy with excellent speed and can lock up WR’s at CB or take the top off a defense as a WR. Closes well both in coverage and as a tackler and is an absolute game changer. He holds a previous offer from LSU as well, and he’ll have a long list to choose from when signing day rolls around next year.

[player_tooltip player_id="42949" first="Duce" last="Robinson"], TE/WR, 6’6" 225lbs, Pinnacle HS (C/O 2023)
Robinson is big kid with excellent length, and only started playing football a few years ago. He was recently offered by Texas A&M, and holds a previous offer from Arkansas, while holding around 19 offers total. He is a two-sport standout as he holds numerous D1 baseball offers as well. He comes in with a large catch radius, strong hands, and has quickly developed into a solid route runner. With all the SEC attention in Arizona as of late, don’t be surprised to see Robinson rack up some more big time offers.
[player_tooltip player_id="42857" first="Lance" last="Holtzclaw"], WR/DE, 6’4" 200lbs, Desert Ridge HS (C/O 2022)
Holtzclaw saw a major jump in his recruitment, and was able to pick up an offer from Vanderbilt back in February. He has recently been turning heads at various 7v7 events, hauling numerous impressive catches. Highly talented kid all across the board. He tracks the ball well and hauls in catches with solid body control to be able to adjust in different angles. Large catch radius with tremendous length and will almost always win contested catches. Holtzclaw will only continue to rise his stock, so you can expect him to land numerous big time offers relatively soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="42793" first="Nason" last="Coleman"], WR/TE, 6’3" 230lbs, Chandler HS (C/O 2022)
Coleman is a very smart kid on and off the field, and holds numerous Ivy League league offers. However, he pulled in an offer from Arkansas back in October, and holds around 16 offers in total. He will have an opportunity to once again play for a national powerhouse at Chandler. Chandler will bring back [player_tooltip player_id="42787" first="Kyion" last="Grayes"] and [player_tooltip player_id="42786" first="Quaron" last="Adams"] at WR, but they lose [player_tooltip player_id="42604" first="Jalen" last="Richmond"] to graduation. Therefore, Coleman projects to have a huge role this upcoming season and could potentially see more power 5 offers come in if he continues on the same trajectory. He is a well put together tight end with solid potential, so his recruitment will be interesting to follow going forward.
