Offensive linemen.
Just the mention of the position brings to mind the true warriors on any football teams.

To have a solid line is to have a chance to develop the rest of the offense.
While the state of Florida is now a hub for athletic linemen, it wasn’t always that way. If colleges and universities needed linemen, they would head to the Midwest and certain areas of the east. But with more camps, geared toward offensive and defensive linemen, you can see the vast improvement and position depth throughout the state.
Today, as we continue to spotlight some of the 540 Class of 2022 prospects, we bring you some linemen, who are already firmly on the radar screen. Here are five to keep an eye on:
[player_tooltip player_id="50006" first="Julian" last="Armella"], OT, 6-6, 300, Miami Christopher Columbus. Ever since he was in middle school, here is someone who has been on the national map. Whether as a starter for St. Thomas Aquinas for two seasons – or last year, making the move to play for the Explorers, this is an impressive talent who has a chance to be an elite college performer down the line. The son of former Miami Springs High and FSU standout Enzo Armella, everyone continues to keep an eye on this big-time football prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="49984" first="Tyler" last="Booker"], OT, 6-5, 320, Bradenton IMG Academy. Here is someone we talked about this past season as being yet another elite football talent that head coach Bobby Acosta and this program continues to produce. This is a big, strong and very athletic talent who is expected to have a huge final season at the high school level. Once he gets his hands into your body, you better panic. He has everything you are looking for these days in an offensive lineman.

[player_tooltip player_id="50050" first="Austin" last="Firestone"], OT, 6-5, 260, Niceville. Easily one of the most athletic and skilled talents around the state for this class. An agile, quick (4.86 – 40), strong (Squat - 435/ Bench - 315/ Power Clean – 305) and very smart (ACT 31/ 4.0) prospect who can play this game. His athleticism is the very first thing that jumps out at you – as he skilled and quick like someone half his size.

[player_tooltip player_id="50034" first="Jeremiah" last="Jackson"], OG, 6-3, 275, Lakeland Kathleen. After watching this impressive talent last year, you come away impressed because he is the new breed of linemen. Someone who has skill, size and strength, but versatile enough to play multiple positions. A tremendous football player who continues to have teams looking in his direction. With another solid season under his belt, his recruitment will go through the roof. There is so much to like about this young man, it’s tough to pinpoint a place to start. The best way to appreciate what he does is to just sit back and watch.

[player_tooltip player_id="50028" first="Daughtry" last="Richardson"], OT, 6-5, 265, Miami Central. After an impressive season at Miami Edison, where the Red Raiders made it three rounds deep in the state playoffs, this quality talent will move a few miles to the north and will play his final high school season at two-time defending 6A state champion Miami Central. What the Rockets get in this upper tier performer is a solid prospect who will be one of the best in south Florida and certainly among the best in the state. A very impressive football talent who is athletic and is very close to being college ready. Adds to the talent that this position is offering college coaches across the state.
