Although Lutheran North’s road to state had been cut short, they still had an outstanding season through the pandemic. Their dominating legacy continues as more players step up to take the leadership roll.
The Crusaders may have lost their seniors, but the class that’s next up will be a force to reckon with next season.

DT [player_tooltip player_id="37593" first="Jaylen" last="Banks"]. If you want to talk about hole stuffers, then Banks is the topic of discussion. The 6’4 tackle is able to break through the offensive line and disrupt their whole game plan. Banks is a nightmare to quarterbacks and a problem to any offensive linemen that stands in his way.

DB [player_tooltip player_id="37525" first="Caldra" last="Williford"]. This guy is an all around defensive back who doesn’t get enough recognition. Williford is a hard hitter with great instincts. He has great coverage skills, whether he’s playing safety, nickel, or cornerback. The Kansas commit is also a huge asset on the offensive side, playing receiver.

RB Jaylin Carson. Whenever the Crusaders need a downhill, powerhouse running back, they call on Carson to move the ball down the field. The six foot back is a hard runner who is extremely difficult to take down. Carson is excellent in changing direction while running and is also not afraid to lower his shoulder. He will be a major problem towards every defense in the Metro League Conference next season, along with his other teammates [player_tooltip player_id="37526" first="Ali" last="Wells"] and [player_tooltip player_id="37524" first="Toriano" last="Pride"].

QB [player_tooltip player_id="37531" first="Brian" last="Brown"]. Brown is one of the few dynamic quarterbacks in the area that nobody ever talks about. He is a tremendous gunslinger who doesn’t hesitate to hit his target. Brown is able to hit quick passes to his receivers as well, and he can run the ball extremely well. Brown is going to be something special next season.
