Basha’s Young Talent Sparks Up Recruitment: Iowa State Offers 4

At Basha High School, seeing freshmen and sophomores snag offers has become normal. Just the other day, Iowa State dug into that Arizona pipeline by offering 4 Basha players on the same day, two of them from the class of 2024 and two from 2023. Now Iowa State has established an AZ pipeline, which includes former Perry QB and current starter Brock Purdy, Joey Ramos from Deer Valley, Kobe Hathcock from Desert Ridge, and most recently landing Chandler RB [player_tooltip player_id="42598" first="Eli" last="Sanders"]. Basha is building something special, and it looks like we will be seeing a new powerhouse program join the conversation here in Arizona. Here’s a look at the recruitment rise of the 4 young Basha players: https://twitter.com/bashagridiron/status/1362123076104675329?s=20 <strong>Demond Williams,</strong> <em>6’0" 180lbs, QB (C/O 2024)</em> Williams drew attention his way immediately when it was announced he would be the QB1 as a freshman at Basha. He took the opportunity and absolutely balled out, instantly turning heads. After the season, Williams really started to see the offers come in. He landed his first offer from Florida Atlantic University back in January, and then followed up the next day with an offer from Northern Arizona. He then continued to see offers pour in which included Central Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, and most recently Iowa State. Williams is a special talent, and will be very followed prospect throughout the rest of his career. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="42938" first="Wyatt" last="Milkovic"],</strong> <em>6’1" 225lbs, LB (C/O 2023)</em> Milkovic transferred to Basha from Hamilton and entered the season with one offer from New Mexico from back in April. He made the 6A Central 1st Team Defense LB as a sophomore and collected offers from Northern Arizona, Colorado, and now Iowa State. He possesses excellent versatility and athleticism and can play as both a run stopper and understands responsibilities in coverage. Milkovic is a very physical player and will only continue to fulfill his potential and rack up more offers. <strong>Miles Lockhart</strong>, <em>5’10" 180lbs, DB (C/O 2024)</em> Lockhart is another freshman who impressed this season at CB and continues to draw attention his way. Lockhart is a twitchy athlete with loose hips and solid change of direction and continues to show massive potential. He picked up his first offer from Arizona State in late January. He followed up with an offer from the University of Arizona, then one from Iowa State. A definite P5 talent already, and will only continue to see offers flow in going forward. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="42908" first="James" last="Durand"],</strong> <em>6’4" 280lbs, OL/DL (C/O 2023)</em> Durand was another 2023 kid who picked up an offer from New Mexico back in April. He then received an offer from Northern Arizona in early January, and like the other 3 Basha players, picked up an Iowa State offer. Durand possesses both solid upper and lower body strength, and frequent utilizes leverage and strength to drive opponents. Agile to pull or get to the second level if he needs to and has good versatility along the OL. Holds ground well in  a pass set and will only continue to get better. &nbsp;
