5 Palm Beach 2022 Standouts To Watch

You can see it in the off-season – and it’s something that has taken years to achieve. When talking about overall hotbeds of talent in the state of Florida, Palm Beach County needs to be right in the middle of that conversation. <img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-105982" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/02/Florida-Player-Spotlight-2-300x188.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="188" />While Miami-Dade and Broward Counties are way out ahead of anyone in the nation for annually producing volumes of football talent, Palm Beach County is right there – with enough big-time football talent to warrant that spotlight that is starting to shine in a major way. With a few powers on the way back to the top – along with some tremendous coaching coming to the region, this is now a place that college coaches will be spending some time – and coming away with elite prospects that in the past may not have been able to play at a Power-5 level. Not the impressive numbers that are emerging today. As we look at some of the players in the Class of 2022, Palm Beach boasts some amazing football talent. Some have been on the radar screen for years, and that is indeed a good thing. Last season, he accounted for 613 yards on 41 catches (14.9 yards per catch). Butler finished with six touchdowns, including two on punt returns. In six games, he threw for 1,123 yards and 16 touchdowns in just six games. In</strong> a year that was cut short because of the pandemic, and many players never truly getting into the flow of things, this 5-8, 170-pounder is indeed one of those versatile football players. One that plays on both sides of the ball. Whether he’s running the ball and adding balance to the offense, using his speed – or performing on defense, this is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on. This is an elite football player, who is regarded by many as a “4-star” recruit, holding offers from Tennessee and Miami to name a few. A two-way standout, he continues to grab college coaches’ attention - recently picking up a local FAU offer – as well as a Power 5 offer from Pittsburgh. In a shortened season, he still managed to have nearly 500 rushing yards, while holding receivers to very few big plays from his position in the secondary.
