The Dakota State Trojans signed a big class of 40 athletes this year. 10 of the 40 athletes are graduating high school Seniors, along with two transfer students all from the Dakotas. The Trojans have
Cooper Maras, LB, West Central (Minot State): Maras is a physical player, his high school highlights were split between him at RB and LB. He reads the offensive line well, scrapes to the right gap and makes the tough tackle, not afraid to run head-on into a blocker/runner to make a play.

Jack Anderson, RB, Harrisburg, (Northern State): Anderson was on the NSU roster for two years, receiving snaps and even one start in his redshirt freshman year. Watching his high school highlights, he is good running between the Tackles. He hits his gaps hard and explodes into the open space, even after contact, he keeps the wheels turning and fights for every yard. Also runs hard routes to be a good target out of the backfield.

Rhett Bertram, LB, Colome: could not find any film on Bertram, but he won the Winner Advocate Athlete of the week award in September of last season, and is also a track athlete for Colome.
Collin Brueggeman, LB, Pierre TF Riggs: Brueggeman attacks the football on the defensive side of the ball. He reads the line well, finds a gap to get to the ballcarrier and delivers a hit when making a tackle. Also physical, engages blocks and goes through them and doesn’t let up when the ball gets to him.

Brandon Jansen, DE, Bridgewater-Emery-Ethan: Brandon Jansen is what every coach is looking for at DE. He engages his block, keeps contain and makes the tackle when the ball comes to him. His technique is impressive coming off the ball, he gets his hands in position while staying low and driving the blocker back, keeps his head up and finds the ball before it can get past him.
Senior Highlights
Brooks Jansen, DL, Bridgewater-Emery-Ethan: Brooks Jansen is another problem for the offense, wreaks havoc in both the run and pass game. He gets off the ball quick and runs through his blocker, finishes through the ballcarrier. His effort shows full-throttle until the whistle, and the one thing that stood out to me, after he buries a kid, he helps him up!
Senior Highlights
William "DJ" Watkins, DL, Sioux Falls Roosevelt: Watkins is good at stalemating his blocker on the line and not giving up ground. His hands get him off his blocker and wraps up the ballcarrier also has some pretty good feet.
Senior Highlights
Trevor Anderson, OL, Douglas: Anderson uses his size to his advantage, picks up defenders and makes a seam for his backs to run through. He also has good footwork in pass blocking and washes down a few defenders every time he down blocks.
Senior Highlights
Derick Siemonsma, TE, Huron: Siemonsma is a great target anywhere on the field. He has size, hands and speed to make a play everywhere on the field. Once he catches the ball, he becomes a very physical runner, running through the defender, if he doesn’t outrun them.
Senior Highlights
Nathan Cook, TE, Stanley County: Cook has great speed and awareness running routes. He runs until he finds the soft spot in the defense and waits for his QB to find him. After the catch, he has sneaky speed, on film he covers a lot of ground with a real smooth running form.
Senior Highlights
[player_tooltip player_id="56341" first="Braden" last="Goehring"], WR, Mobridge-Pollock: Goehring is a valuable weapon on offense and special teams. He has lots of speed and is very shifty when he has the ball. He runs hard routes and once he is in open space, he turns on the jets and finds the end zone. He doesn’t dance around and make a lot of juke moves, usually one move and gone, can be physical as well.
