CCL Top Defenders: Purple Division

Today we will be taking a look at the Top Defenders in the CCL Purple Division. These teams include St. Viator, St. Patrick, Carmel Catholic, and Marian Central Catholic. <hr /> <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>St. Viator:</strong></em></span> [player_tooltip player_id="20206" first="Jeremiah" last="Pittman"]  DE - Pittman is apart of the class of 2021, he's a dominant DE who has a nice use of the hands at the point of attack which gets him into the backfield quickly. He gets solid QB pressure, holds contain, and doesn't give up on plays. Pittman is aggressive at the point of attack and takes solid pursuit angles, he's going to fair well at the next level. He gets off blocks to make the tackle and keeps his feet driving to bring the ballcarrier down. Eggebraten has put on muscle weight since last season filling out his frame and has the potential to have a breakout year. He takes solid pursuit angles which help him make open-field tackles and keeps his feet driving to bring down the ballcarrier. Niesman is going to be a solid player at the next level for Benedictine University. He gets off of blocks to make the tackle and takes solid pursuit angles. He holds contain, fills holes in run support, and gets off of blocks to make the tackle. DiBalsamo gets pressure on the QB and takes solid pursuit angles. He gets off of blocks which helps him attack downhill and isn't afraid to lower his shoulder. He gets off of blocks to make the tackle, gets nice pressure on the QB, and attacks in both the running/passing game. He gets in the backfield quickly by getting off of blocks with a mix of his swim move and bull rush. Allen also gets solid pressure on the QB as well as getting his hands up to deflect passes during the passing game. Allen has room to grow and hone his craft, he's already a talented player that can play at the next level.
