The day after signing day, we take a look at our top 8 available players inside the top 50 on our board.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27197" first="Elijah" last="Jeudy"] </strong>(SR) Defensive End 6’3 235 – Northeast HS
Elijah is the last of our top 10 players available. He is an elite pass rusher with good get off and twitchiness. He was a Georgia commit at one point. According to 247Sports he is scheduled to commit on January 2nd, where he will play in the All-American Bowl. It looks like it’s going to be between Georgia and Texas A&M. Wherever he goes, they are getting a heck of a player.
<strong> </strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27311" first="Rashim" last="Lee Jr."] </strong>(SR) Wide Receiver 6’3 180 – York HS
There is a reason why Rashim is ranked 21st overall on our board. He has great size and speed for what you want in a receiver. He is a good route runner and has good ball skills. He is able to get those 50/50 balls if you give him a chance. No question this kid is an FBS talent. It’s shocking how he has no offers and we are a couple of weeks away from the new year. On the season he had 16 receptions for 392 yards and 5 touchdowns. He will be a steal for someone.
<strong> </strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27227" first="Shafeek" last="Smith"]</strong> (SR) Defensive Back 5’8 156 – Imhotep Charter
Shafeek is our 23rd overall player. He is undersized but shows good speed to stay with receivers. He has good break and acceleration. He shows smooth hips He takes good pursuit angles and a good tackler. He lacks top-end speed to track down the ball carrier. His balls skills are questionable from his junior film. He’s a good player but with no senior tape it’s hard to tell with what you’re getting from a kid like this, how has he improved. According to 247Sports he has FBS offers.
<strong> </strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27231" first="Matt" last="Marshall"] </strong>(SR) Defensive Back 5’11 170 – William Penn Charter
Matt who is ranked 34th on our board can play all over the field. He has quickness with good speed. He shows physicality and can hit you. He also shows the ability to high point with good ball skills. He was committed to Louisiana Monroe, but since there will be a new head coach there, his recruitment is back open. A place he could go is Marshall, who has been recruiting him steadily.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27243" first="Shawn" last="Williams"]</strong> (SR) Defensive Tackle 6’4 260 – Imhotep Charter
Shawn is our 40th overall player. He committed to Arizona State back in May, but not anymore. He has good get off with good speed and quickness for his size. He shows some twitch. Shows to drive feet on double teams. Shawn is a good player, but not sure what’s going on with him, can’t find any information. According to 247Sporrts, he has some MAC offers.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27270" first="Darius" last="Bruce"]</strong> (SR) Defensive Back 5’11 170 – Westinghouse HS
Darius is our 41st overall player. Darius has good size, quickness, and speed. He shows smooth hips. He is a physical kid who is a hard hitter and a good tackler. Has the ability to high point with good ball skills. He has FBS talent who did have receive a Toledo offer back in late July, but that offer looks dim now. Wherever he goes, they are getting a really good player.
<strong> </strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27212" first="Chamor" last="Price"]</strong> (SR) Wide Receiver 6’1 175 – Gateway HS
Chamor is our 42nd overall player. He has good release, but don’t see him really run routes. He is used more in the screen, jet sweep, and vertical game. He does have good ball skills that can run after the catch. He had quite a few FBS offers in early 2020 but schools have seemed to back off. Chamor is a good player but teams want to see an all-around receiver, who shows more than just screens and sweeps. I believe his recruiting fell off because there were no camps this past summer to see him live.
<strong> </strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27358" first="Dontae" last="Sanders"]</strong> (SR) Linebacker 6’2 200 – Clairton HS
Dontae is our 48th overall player. Dontae had a great year. He was consistent and dominated each game. On the season he had 121 carries for 1,879 yards and 27 touchdowns. He averaged 15.53 yards per carry. He will most likely end up as a linebacker at the next level but wouldn’t be surprised if a team uses him to run the ball on occasion.
