John Taumoepeau, DL, 6’2” 290 lbs., Eastside Catholic
Strong and powerful frame at 6’2” 290 lbs. with good mobility and lateral agility for his size. Excels has a run stopper with his ability to plug a gap, hold his ground, and eat up space. He’s violent and physical at the POA with a powerful strike. Plays with good hand placement, shows a good ability to fight off blockers and locate/pursue the ball carrier. He’s a high motor player that can beat double teams and get solid penetration using his natural strength from the lower half. Would like to see him play with better pad level and leverage but a good all-around football player with D1 talent and potential.
Luke Holcomb Luke Holcomb 6'5" | 195 lbs | QB Puyallup | 2021 State WA , QB, 6’4” 190 lbs., Puyallup
Holcomb’s natural arm talent and playmaking ability propel him into one of the top signal callers in the Washington 2021 class. He’s a strong, athletic quarterback that possesses the arm strength to make every throw and the touch to fit the football into tight windows. He shows comfort sitting in the pocket waiting for plays to develop, keeping his eyes downfield to see coverage and locate a target. He’s impressive and instinctual when improvising/extending broken plays and making throws on the run outside the tackles. He excels at throwing the deep ball and pushing down the ball downfield with touch. He has ideal size/length to play the position at the college level and possesses the talent and ability to pull in some late offers.
Brody Schlaefli Brody Schlaefli 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL Prairie | 2021 State WA , OL, 6’5” 320 lbs., Prairie
At 6’5” 320 lbs., Schlaefli certainly possesses the size to play at the next level. He showed great
improvement from his sophomore to junior season in his blocking fundamentals, particularly with his footwork, and aggressiveness at the point of attack. His imposing size helps him overpower defensive linemen and plays with the type of physicality coaches expect from the position but could improve his leverage with a lower pad level and center of gravity. Excels run-blocking where he can use his size and strength to his advantage but shows potential with his pass set technique and ability to protect the passer. Recruiting would look much different with the ability to showcase his improvement year to year and would’ve benefitted from the chance to attend college camps/combines.
Tanner Fahey Tanner Fahey 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Lynnwood | 2021 State WA , WR, 6’0” 185 lbs., Lynnwood
Fahey has been Lynnwood’s go-to receiver since his sophomore year flashing his ability to track and adjust to the ball extremely well and is consistently making plays downfield. He is aggressive in meeting the ball at the high-point and possesses strong hands to come down with the catch. Possesses average size and speed but his ball skills and playmaking ability down the field set him apart and can warrant college attention. Given the chance, a strong senior tape showcasing his improved explosiveness and route running to go with his sure hands may give him to boost he needs in his recruitment. Look for him to build on a strong junior season that saw him garner all-conference honors.
Zion Scott Zion Scott 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Sumner | 2021 State WA , WR, 5’10 170 lbs., Sumner
The younger brother of Gee Scott Jr., one of the top-ranked recruits from the 2020 class now at Ohio St., is an athletic prospect hoping to bolster his recruitment. He’s a smooth athlete that is clean in and out of his breaks and a shifty playmaker with the ball in his hands. He possesses high football IQ and awareness making big plays in big moments for his team in his junior season. He’s most comfortable running mid-range routes where he can find holes in zone coverage and get up field after the catch. Possesses strong genes and has shown the upside and potential with strong offseason performances at 7on7 tournaments and showcases that should boost his recruiting attention.
