Continue ReadingThis week we will be taking a look at the Lockport Township Porters football team. They are coming off a 4-5 season where they had their ups and downs. After talking with Coach Czart he has high hopes for his team this upcoming season with the abundance of talent with the Senior and incoming Junior classes.
QB1 Battle
The QB battle that is going to take place is between Riley Pfeiffer vs Hayden Timosciek, both of whom are explosive and have the talent to be Varsity starting QBs. Pfeiffer is more of a dual-threat QB who has a nice touch on the deep ball and runs the read-option. Timosciek on the other hand is more of a pocket passer who has good passing abilities and resorts to scrambling as a last resort. Both of these players are going to battle it out and go head to head fighting for the number one spot, whoever wins the battle will be at the helm of a deadly offense with weapons everywhere.
WR/TE Core Complete
Coming into this season the WR/TE core is going to be deadly with guys from the top to bottom that have playmaking abilities. They are Kyle Yehling, Ryan Little, Will Orban, Danny Martisek, Ethan Gallagher, Vinny Pichardo, Keegan Roberson, and Quinn Kelly. There’s so much talent here that it’s going to be a highly competitive group week in and week out heading into the new season for who will get the starting spot. Coach Czart spoke highly of these players and the talent that they all possess and is excited to see these players compete with one another this season.
High Motors
While I was talking with Coach Czart he spoke about two guys in particular that have high motors and never seem to let up, those are Joe Suchorabski and Jett Ciucci. They play full speed each play never letting their foot off the gas pedal, this is seen in their film and play styles. Suchorabski and Ciucci both play LB that fills holes in run support and gets after the QB with their pass rush. They are both apart of the Class of 2021 and look to further their football careers at the next level.
Ty Schultz Ty Schultz 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Lockport | 2022 State IL
Schultz is a dominant force on Lockport’s offensive attack that is also stacked at wideout, tight end, and quarterback. Schultz has tremendous speed that accommodates his elusiveness and shifty running style. He’s also used in the passing game since he has solid hands to catch coming out of the backfield and lined up at wideout as well. Schultz has a nice juke move that he uses to blow by the second level of defenders. He’s going to be one of many household names on this Lockport team for the next two seasons as he is apart of a very talented Junior class.
