Get 25% off your subscription by entering Knight25 in the coupon code area. Enjoy! Today is the first day that football athletes can sign with their colleges and make it official with their letter of intent. While the majority of the state’s signees will sign in February, we’ll see a good number sign on the dotted line today, mostly players signing with D1 programs. We’ll have a complete breakdown right here on each signing that happens across the state of Oklahoma today. More signing day content will hit the website throughout the day as well. [player_tooltip player_id="38503" first="Aden" last="Kelley"] - OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - THOMAS Signed With Oklahoma State Thomas lineman [player_tooltip player_id="38503" first="Aden" last="Kelley"] was one of the top prospects during the previous offseason. He absolutely blew up in January and his stock only continued to get higher and higher. Kelley would literally reach the pinnacle for high school athletes as he was selected to play in the Army All American game in January. Kelley would commit to the Cowboys in January and join an OSU class already littered with Oklahoma talent. Kelley has helped his high school team Thomas all the way to the Class A state championship game, where they will play Cashion on Saturday night at UCO’s Wantland Stadium. [player_tooltip player_id="38488" first="AJ" last="Green"] - RUNNING BACK - UNION Signed With Arkansas One of the state’s best offensive weapons, [player_tooltip player_id="38488" first="AJ" last="Green"] has been on the radar for years when it came to this 2021 class. It was apparent when Green was a freshman that he would have the potential to be one of the state’s top prospects. Over the last few years, we’ve seen plenty of discussion about where Green would play at the next level but we think that conversation is over as Green is headed to Arkansas to be a running back. As a senior, Green torched defenses and showed why he’s one of the more dynamic offensive playmakers in Oklahoma. After committing to Arkansas in June to the Razorbacks, Green helped Union to a semifinal appearance. [player_tooltip player_id="38520" first="AJ" last="Sirls"] - LINEBACKER - HERITAGE HALL Signed With Air Force Heritage Hall’s [player_tooltip player_id="38520" first="AJ" last="Sirls"] is one of the more versatile athletes you’ll find in Oklahoma. It’s not very often that you see a linebacker prospect that also doubles as an offensive lineman but that was the case for Heritage Hall and Sirls this year. Because of the need, Sirls spent half the time on offense as a lineman. He ended up being a true two-way player for the Chargers this season as they fell in the semifinals for the second straight year. However, at the next level, it’ll be all defense for Sirls as the future Air Force linebacker will be focused on that. He committed to Air Force earlier this fall and chose the Falcons over several offers from programs across the country. Today, he signed on the dotted line and is headed to Air Force. [player_tooltip player_id="38509" first="Bryce" last="Drummond"] - QUARTERBACK - PAWHUSKA Signed With North Texas At the start of his high school career, Pawhuska’s [player_tooltip player_id="38509" first="Bryce" last="Drummond"] was just the best athlete on the field. He would continue to be that as a sophomore and then his junior season happened and that’s when he stopped being an athlete and started being a quarterback. Drummond continued to progress as a QB prospect and then had an absolutely lights out senior season. Before his senior year, Drummond was recruited by several programs but he settled on North Texas. He committed to the Mean Green during the spring time and has stuck with that commitment. This year, his QB coach was North Texas’ all time leading passer Mason Fine, a Locust Grove graduate, and the state’s all time leading passer. [player_tooltip player_id="38490" first="Bryce" last="Stephens"] - WIDE RECEIVER - JOHN MARSHALL Signed With Arkansas [player_tooltip player_id="38490" first="Bryce" last="Stephens"] out of John Marshall is very similar to Union’s [player_tooltip player_id="38488" first="AJ" last="Green"]. It’s a coincidence that they are now teammates. But for the last several years, the biggest conversations around Green and Stephens was where they would play at the next level. Stephens is one of the more versatile athletes in the state and played a variety of positions on both sides of the ball for John Marshall. However, when he is at his best, it appears to be at the wide receiver position. Arkansas lands another dynamic offensive weapon from Oklahoma in Stephens as the John Marshall standout committed to the Razorbacks back in early August and has now signed on the dotted line. [player_tooltip player_id="38564" first="Caden" last="Hernandez"] - RUNNING BACK - YUKON Signed With Bethel The first player in the state’s 2021 class to sign with a non-D1 program is Yukon running back [player_tooltip player_id="38564" first="Caden" last="Hernandez"]. We’ll end up seeing a ton of players sign with programs from D2, D3 and Jucos during the February signing period. However, Hernandez signed with Bethel at the first opportunity. He committed to the Threshers in late November and signed on the dotted line today. Hernandez was a big part of Yukon’s flexbone offensive attack and made some big time plays throughout the season. [player_tooltip player_id="46209" first="Cameron" last="Little"] - KICKER - SOUTHMOORE Signed With Arkansas Without a doubt the top kicker in the 2021 class is Southmoore’s [player_tooltip player_id="46209" first="Cameron" last="Little"]. The Southmoore standout has also been selected to play in the Army All American game and is considered arguably the best kicker in the country. Little earned a scholarship offer from Arkansas, among other schools across the country. He ended up committing to the Razorbacks. Little and kickers across the country certainly have a much more difficult path to being recruited because of the numbers and the limitations at that position. However, when you’re considered one of, if not the best kicker in the nation, you move to to the top of the list like Little. [player_tooltip player_id="38496" first="Chase" last="Jackson"] - WIDE RECEIVER - CHOCTAW Signed With TCU Choctaw wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="38496" first="Chase" last="Jackson"] was one of the absolute breakout stars of the 2019 season. He emerged as one of the top wide outs in the state and that only continued as the offseason began and his recruiting heated up. Jackson quickly became one of the top wide receiver prospects in Oklahoma’s 2021 class. On May 3rd, the anniversary of his mom’s passing, Jackson committed to TCU. He’s remained loyal to the Horned Frogs and they’ve remained loyal to him. In the first game of the season, Jackson had a season-ending leg injury. Jackson is hungry and determined to get back on the field as soon as possible. [player_tooltip player_id="38489" first="Collin" last="Oliver"] - LINEBACKER - EDMOND SANTA FE Signed With Oklahoma State Similar to Jackson, Edmond Santa Fe’s [player_tooltip player_id="38489" first="Collin" last="Oliver"] has had to overcome injuries during his high school career and has become one of the more disruptive defensive players in the state. Following his sophomore season, Oliver became a household name in recruiting circles as his recruitment really started to take off. Oklahoma State was the first program to offer the talented pass rusher and that ended up paying off. The Santa Fe pipeline to Stillwater continues to be strong as Oliver committed to to the Cowboys in May. During his senior season, he helped lead Santa Fe all the way to the state championship game, falling short to Jenks. [player_tooltip player_id="38504" first="Dillon" last="Gilbert"] - OFFENSIVE LINEMAN - OWASSO Signed With Air Force The first of two big time offensive line prospects to sign with Air Force is Owasso’s [player_tooltip player_id="38504" first="Dillon" last="Gilbert"]. The Rams had a very young offense in 2020 in their skill players and quarterback. The senior leadership of Gilbert, anchoring the offensive line up front certainly brought them along quicker throughout the season. Gilbert had a very strong offseason as he emerged as one of the top offensive lineman prospects in the state’s 2021 class. Gilbert would announce his commitment to Air Force in early July and would kick off a strong in-state class for the Air Force Academy. [player_tooltip player_id="38497" first="Donovan" last="Stephens"] - DEFENSIVE BACK - DEL CITY Signed With Oklahoma State Another Oklahoma State signee, we told you, the Cowboys put in work on the 2021 class. Del City’s [player_tooltip player_id="38497" first="Donovan" last="Stephens"] is one of the better defensive athletes in the state. He certainly brings versatility to the field as he can move down and play linebacker or move back into the secondary. Del City was supposed to have a special 2020 season but they fell short of their ultimate goals. However, throughout the season, Stephens was a constant and became a vocal leader on a team that has a few other players on this list. In early August, Stephens committed to Oklahoma State and never looked back. [player_tooltip player_id="38516" first="Emaud" last="Triplett"] - LINEBACKER - OWASSO Signed With Army Army got several big time prospects in this senior class, especially on the defensive side of the ball that they should be very proud of. One of those is Owasso standout linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="38516" first="Emaud" last="Triplett"]. He is one of, if not the most productive linebacker in Oklahoma over the last two seasons. He is an absolute wrecking ball of a linebacker and has taken his game to the next level this season as a senior leader. Triplett is one of the higher rated prospects on the defensive side of the ball. Again, it’s an absolute get for Army to land a player of Triplett’s talent. Triplett chose Army when he committed to the Black Knights in early June. He’s remained loyal, despite being recruited by some bigger programs throughout the year. [player_tooltip player_id="38500" first="Ethan" last="Downs"] - DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - WEATHERFORD Signed With Oklahoma Similar to [player_tooltip player_id="38488" first="AJ" last="Green"] out of Union, Weatherford’s [player_tooltip player_id="38500" first="Ethan" last="Downs"] has been considered one of the state’s top recruits since his freshman season. That can certainly put a lot of pressure on a young high schooler but Downs handled it with absolute class. He never let that pressure get to him and he continued to get better and better over the last few seasons. Downs was the very first prospect in this senior class to give his verbal commitment when he committed to Oklahoma during October of his junior season. Over 14 months later, Downs is now signed with the Sooners. Since committing, Downs enjoyed taking to social media to "help" in recruiting other athletes to Norman. [player_tooltip player_id="38508" first="Isaac" last="Smith"] - DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - WAGONER Signed With Texas Tech Before his junior season, [player_tooltip player_id="38508" first="Isaac" last="Smith"] would move from Coweta to Wagoner. That would end up paying off for both sides as Smith would have a breakout season as a junior and then helped lead the Bulldogs to an undefeated season and state championship as a senior. Over the last two seasons, Smith has racked up close to 30 sacks. He’s an absolute force on the end of a defensive line and still has a high ceiling with room to grow. During the offseason before his senior year, Smith committed to Tulsa. However, in October, Smith switched his commitment to Texas Tech and has signed on the dotted line with the Red Raiders. [player_tooltip player_id="38501" first="Jaden" last="Bray"] - WIDE RECEIVER - NORMAN Signed With Oklahoma State After a breakout junior season, it was apparent to anyone who saw Norman wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="38501" first="Jaden" last="Bray"] that he had the potential to be special. Bray began his high school career thinking that basketball would be his path to college but after one junior season on the gridiron, it was clear that it would be football. Bray’s recruitment blew up following his junior season and his stock only continued to climb. In early June, Bray gave his verbal commitment to Oklahoma State and has been with the Cowboys ever since. Bray is a top ten prospect in this 2021 class and one of the best offensive skill players in Oklahoma today. [player_tooltip player_id="38487" first="Javion" last="Hunt"] - ATHLETE - ARKANSAS Signed With Arkansas Carl Albert’s [player_tooltip player_id="38487" first="Javion" last="Hunt"] has certainly been on the radar since his sophomore season. And it might seem like a coincidence that Hunt and Union’s [player_tooltip player_id="38488" first="AJ" last="Green"] will now be teammates when you consider they had similar recruitments. Both players played both sides of the ball and it was tough to decide where they would naturally fit. For Hunt, that question is still unanswered as he could end up being a variety of things at the next level. On offense, Hunt is a dynamic and patient runner and on defense, he can lock down players from the cornerback position. Hunt committed to Arkansas and is apart of a big Razorback class from Oklahoma. [player_tooltip player_id="63286" first="Jeff" last="Nwankwo"] - WIDE RECEIVER - PUTNAM CITY NORTH Signed With Tulane Putnam City North’s [player_tooltip player_id="63286" first="Jeff" last="Nwankwo"] is a great example of what can happen when you don’t focus on just one sport. The 2020 season was Nwankwo’s first playing football after being a standout on the basketball court for years. It was apparent halfway thru the 2020 season that Nwankwo had natural gifts at the wide receiver position and would become a legitimate prospect in football. He helped an explosive PC North offense and would eventually start picking up offers from programs across the country. Last week, Nwankwo would give his commitment to Tulane and today has signed on the dotted line. He’s still a standout on the basketball court but his future is on the gridiron. [player_tooltip player_id="38492" first="Jordan" last="Mukes"] - DEFENISVE BACK - CHOCTAW Signed With Oklahoma In a similar story to Bray, Choctaw’s [player_tooltip player_id="38492" first="Jordan" last="Mukes"] probably began his high school career thinking he would be a basketball player in college. However, after throwing on the helmet and pads, it was very clear that Mukes would not only be a football player, but he would be considered one of the absolute best in the 2021 class. After a breakout junior season, Mukes’ recruitment absolutely skyrocketed and he was one of, if not the hottest recruits in Oklahoma, picking up new offers virtually every day. Eventually, Mukes would settle on Oklahoma, committing to the Sooners in March. As a senior, he helped lead Choctaw all the way to the state title game. [player_tooltip player_id="38486" first="Kendal" last="Daniels"] - DEFENSIVE BACK - BEGGS Signed With Texas A&M He’s our top rated prospect in the Oklahoma class, Beggs defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="38486" first="Kendal" last="Daniels"] has the chance to be a special prospect. He’s the next in line from Josh Proctor at Owasso to Dax Hill at Booker T Washington. Daniels has the potential to be that type of player. And just like Proctor and Hill, he’s headed out of state as he’s signed with Texas A&M. He chose the Aggies in a August commitment, over Clemson, LSU and Oklahoma. Daniels is looking forward to playing in the SEC and once he gets into the strength and conditioning program in College Station, he’s going to come out as a potential monster of a safety prospect. [player_tooltip player_id="38494" first="Keuan" last="Parker"] - DEFENSIVE BACK - BOOKER T WASHINGTON Signed With Arkansas [player_tooltip player_id="38494" first="Keuan" last="Parker"] has always been the next big name at Booker T Washington. First you had DJ Jones, then Dax Hill. The next big name was [player_tooltip player_id="38494" first="Keuan" last="Parker"] in the Booker T Washington secondary. It wasn’t difficult to see why when you watched his tape or watched him in person. He’s a very physical cornerback who is one of the top lockdown corners in the state. In early May, Parker committed to Arkansas and has remained loyal to that pledge and has signed with the Razorbacks. The only thing keeping Parker from being considered an "elite" prospect is his height. But we don’t care about that. He’s a top ten prospect in Oklahoma and has all the skills you want at that position. [player_tooltip player_id="38507" first="Kevin" last="Greene"] - DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - DEL CITY Signed With North Texas Yet another Del City prospect on that defensive side of the ball has signed with a D1 program. We warned you before the season that this side of the ball had some absolute stars on it. Starting it all on the line of scrimmage is defensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id="38507" first="Kevin" last="Greene"]. The story wrote itself when the Del City big man announced his commitment to North Texas this offseason. [player_tooltip player_id="38507" first="Kevin" last="Greene"], going to play for the Mean Green. Like we said, writes itself. However, North Texas has landed one of the more disruptive players in Oklahoma’s 2021 class. North Texas traditionally does a good job recruiting Oklahoma, but mostly on the offensive side of the ball. This time, they got a gem up front on defense. [player_tooltip player_id="38513" first="Lance" last="Petermann"] - OFFENSIVE LINEMAN - STILLWATER Signed With Air Force Joining Owasso’s [player_tooltip player_id="38504" first="Dillon" last="Gilbert"] is Stillwater offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="38513" first="Lance" last="Petermann"] as Air Force signees. In early August, Petermann picked Air Force over offers from nearly 20 other schools across the country. Petermann has been the anchor of a Stillwater offensive line that has been one of the best in the state of Oklahoma. If you’re a fan of high school football in this state, you know about Stillwater running back [player_tooltip player_id="38521" first="Qwontrel" last="Walker"]. And while there is no doubt that he is one of the top backs in the state, there is also no doubt that if he didn’t have guys like Petermann blocking for him, things his career would have looked a little different. [player_tooltip player_id="38536" first="Lennard" last="Kuhl"] - TIGHT END - CASADY Signed With Toledo We don’t see Toledo coming into Oklahoma and signing many Oklahoma prospects. Don’t get me wrong, Toledo recruits Oklahoma actively but actually landing a prospect has been a different story. That’s not the case here as Casady’s [player_tooltip player_id="38536" first="Lennard" last="Kuhl"] has signed with Toledo. Kuhl is one of the more underrated prospects in Oklahoma’s 2021 class. A lot of that has to do with the school he plays for. He plays for Casady, in Oklahoma City, and they don’t play in the OSSAA. Because of that, Casady doesn’t get as much pub as every other program. But Kuhl is certainly a prospect that has been under the radar. However, when you throw on the tape, you can see a very physical player. [player_tooltip player_id="38493" first="Logan" last="Nobles"] - OFFENSIVE LINEMAN - JENKS Signed With Oklahoma State Jenks offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="38493" first="Logan" last="Nobles"] emerged last season as one of the top O-Line prospects in this senior class. Fast forward to today and there’s no doubt that he is the absolute best 2021 O-line prospect in the state. Nobles has all the tools you want in a prototypical tackle prospect. He helped lead Jenks back to the state championship game, where they beat Edmond Santa Fe to win title number 17. Nobles committed to Oklahoma State back in June and has remained loyal to the Cowboys ever since. He’s part of a very big in-state signing class heading to Stillwater. This group has gotten closer and closer over the last few months. [player_tooltip player_id="51178" first="Logan" last="Ward"] - KICKER - DEER CREEK Signed With Oklahoma State (As A Preferred Walk On) We’ll start right here and say that we’re not going to include preferred walk on’s for the most part when we have signing break downs. But when it comes to kickers and specifically Deer Creek kicker [player_tooltip player_id="51178" first="Logan" last="Ward"], we’re making an exception. When it comes to kickers as recruits, the scholarships just aren’t there like other positions. But we’re willing to bet that Ward gets put on scholarship pretty soon and won’t be waiting for that moment for long. Ward, similar to [player_tooltip player_id="46209" first="Cameron" last="Little"] at Southmoore, is considered not only one of the best kickers in the state but in the country. Ward might be one of the more athletic kickers in the state as he also was a standout for Deer Creek as a tight end and linebacker. He truly was a three-phase player for the Antlers. [player_tooltip player_id="38499" first="Makale" last="Smith"] - DEFENSIVE BACK - MIDWEST CITY Signed With Oklahoma State There are several players on this list that were basketball first up until a few years ago and Midwest City’s [player_tooltip player_id="38499" first="Makale" last="Smith"] fits that mold. However, just like [player_tooltip player_id="38501" first="Jaden" last="Bray"] at Norman or [player_tooltip player_id="38492" first="Jordan" last="Mukes"] at Choctaw, Smith decided to put on the pads and hit the gridiron and his future was changed forever. He immediately became one of the better defensive backs in the state. This year, Smith reached new heights as a senior. He was a dynamic wide receiver, return specialist and defensive back, helping lead the Bombers to the semifinals. He’s without a doubt one of the best athletes in the state and he’s signed on the dotted line with Oklahoma State. [player_tooltip player_id="38510" first="Melvin" last="Swindle"] - DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - HERITAGE HALL Signed With Eastern Michigan It was our first Signing Day flip as Heritage Hall’s [player_tooltip player_id="38510" first="Melvin" last="Swindle"] signed with Eastern Michigan. The Charger defensive lineman had committed to South Dakota but on Signing Day, he signed on the dotted line with EMU. Eastern Michigan has done a great job recruiting Oklahoma in recent years with their connections on the coaching staff. Swindle has been a dominant force for Heritage Hall over the last few seasons. Eastern Michigan is bringing in Swindle to play on the defensive side of the ball. However, he started on both sides for the Chargers and at a variety of positions on each side. So he certainly brings some versatility to that program. [player_tooltip player_id="38506" first="Noah" last="Alexander"] - RUNNING BACK - EUFAULA Signed With Army Oklahoma is loaded with running back talent right now in the senior, junior and sophomore classes. However, one of the higher rated senior running backs has been making plays for several seasons down in Eufaula. [player_tooltip player_id="38506" first="Noah" last="Alexander"] has signed to play his college ball at Army. He committed to the Black Knights back in early July and has remained committed throughout his senior season. He signed with Army on Wednesday, joining Owasso’s [player_tooltip player_id="38516" first="Emaud" last="Triplett"] as Army signees in Oklahoma’s 2021 class. [player_tooltip player_id="38498" first="Rejhan" last="Tatum"] - LINEBACKER - DEL CITY Signed With Boise State So we’ll start with Boise State because it’s just not often that Boise State comes into Oklahoma and lands one of the top prospects. From the start, Boise State’s coaches put an importance on recruiting [player_tooltip player_id="38498" first="Rejhan" last="Tatum"] and those connections and relationships certainly paid off. Tatum went ahead and gave his commitment to Boise State in August and has signed on the dotted line. Similar to Tatum’s high school teammate [player_tooltip player_id="38497" first="Donovan" last="Stephens"], Tatum can be moved around on that defensive side of the ball. While his natural position appears to be at the linebacker spot, he’s not afraid to move closer to the D-Line and cause havoc. [player_tooltip player_id="38502" first="Solomon" last="Wright"] - DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - VIAN Signed With Arkansas One of the most disruptive forces in Oklahoma is Vian’s [player_tooltip player_id="38502" first="Solomon" last="Wright"]. His combination of power and speed make him a mismatch for nearly every offensive line he’s faced in high school. Throw on the tape and you’ll see what we mean as it seems unfair at times that Wright is on the field. Wright became one of the top defensive prospects in the senior class. During the offseason, Wright would commit to Texas Tech. However, later in the year, he would flip his commitment and stay closer to home by committing to the Razorbacks. Wright has been one of our favorite players to watch over the last two years, seriously, go watch his tape, and we’re looking forward to what he does in Fayetteville. [player_tooltip player_id="38495" first="Tevin" last="Williams"] - DEFENSIVE BACK - STILLWATER Signed With Baylor One of the top cover corners in the state’s 2021 class is Stillwater’s [player_tooltip player_id="38495" first="Tevin" last="Williams"]. The Stillwater senior was one of the earliest commits in the 2021 class as he committed to Baylor back in April. He’s remained loyal to the Bears throughout the summer and into the fall and has signed on the dotted line. He was very impressed with the new coaching staff and nothing has changed from his commitment. Williams has been a big part of Stillwater’s success over the last few years. While the offensive side of the ball gets a lot of press, Williams and the Pioneer defense has been outstanding as well. The Bears are getting a strong prospect at the cornerback position. [player_tooltip player_id="38491" first="Ty" last="Williams"] - DEFENSIVE BACK - MUSKOGEE Signed With Oklahoma State Yet another prospect that we have enjoyed watching has been Muskogee’s [player_tooltip player_id="38491" first="Ty" last="Williams"]. During his sophomore and junior seasons, Williams was an absolute ball hawk and one of the best in the state at coming up with interceptions from his safety position. This year, was certainly a year to forget as Williams could never really get healthy and the Roughers struggled because of it. Despite the injury issues, Williams is still one of the top defensive prospects in the class and Oklahoma State has landed a great prospect in Williams. In late April, Williams committed to Oklahoma State and has stuck with the Cowboys ever since.
