What do you feel you need to improve on?
“I’m always trying to make improvements on everything every day, from lifting, to route running, to explosiveness and speed, but I mostly need to improve on staying healthy.”
What was the highlight of your sophomore season on varsity?
“My highlight was definitely the game at NIU against sycamore, where I caught the ball and someone ran into me, and I didn’t move.”
How’s your team looking this winter?
“We’re looking great offensively and defensively. We had a young team last year, and everyone’s improving very much this year. Our new coaching staff is looking good, and it feels like they’ve been here for a while. It’s definitely gonna be a special year.”
What schools are you currently hearing from?
“I’ve been talking to the Wisconsin coach here and there, but I’ve been hearing from a lot of schools via email like Liberty, and on Twitter, it’s schools like Miami OH, NDSU, Central Michigan, and a collection of schools in the MAC.”
Do you have a dream school?
“The Ohio State University.”
Do you have any visit plans post-COVID-19?
“Not any yet, but I’m hoping there will be some.”
What’s been the toughest part about not playing football this fall?
“The toughest part for me is that I don’t have a lot of film and I’m trying to get more attention from schools, and I couldn’t do that because of covid. Another thing is watching every other state playing except Illinois.”
What have you learned during this pandemic?
“I’ve learned to take advantage of the opportunities given to me and to not take it for granted.”
How ready are you for this football season?
“I’m ready to make a name for myself because a lot of people don’t know me yet, but I’m not getting injured again. This winter season, you’re gonna see a completely different person.”
