Early-morning workouts, late-night film sessions and more all come together to make for an interesting time right now.
We’ll do our best to spotlight those still searching for homes here, so feel free to message us any prospects that we miss.
Ben Dunlap, Emmetsburg
The son of a head coach, Ben Dunlap understands every part of the game of football. And it shows in his talents on the field. Dunlap recorded 40.5 tackles including four for loss while also directing the E-Hawk offense.
A ball-hawking safety, Dunlap picked off six passes this past fall. He reads the eyes of the QB tremendously and has the skills to make the big-play on defense.
Brennan Holder, South Central Calhoun
The power-back in the Titan attack, Brennan Holder used his size and speed to run for 680 yards and score 11 touchdowns. He was constantly able to fight for the extra yard, but also showed speed to get past would-be tacklers.
Holder isn’t just a “big-back” has he also caught eight passes while dominating on defense with 64 tackles including 11 for loss. A great blend of size and speed, Holder has a future on either side of the ball.
Cole Corey, South Central Calhoun
One of the advantages to having your QB play defense is they bring so much knowledge to that side of the ball. That is the case with Cole Corey, who had no trouble directing the South Central Calhoun offense while shining on defense with three interceptions.
Corey is a football-smart athlete who just makes plays. With a little more size on his frame, he could turn into quite the defensive back.
Luke Crosgrove, Pocahontas Area
Over the past two years, Luke Crosgrove has been nothing but consistent for Pocahontas Area as a receiver. Crosgrove caught 37 passes for 653 yards and six TDs this past fall.
Excellent size at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Crosgrove has strong hands and can get separation against the defender with ease.
Gabe Gidel, Humboldt
Humboldt’s Gabe Gidel became the top target for Caden Matson in a spread attack this year, catching 38 passes for 619 yards and eight touchdowns. He also showed his skills running the football with 109 yards and a score on the ground.
Gidel comes from an athletic family and presents excellent size at 6-foot and 195 pounds. He watches the ball in and has soft hands.
Trey Mathis, Webster City
A strong runner with speed, Trey Mathis also has great defensive skills as a linebacker. Mathis ran for over 1,300 yards and 17 TDs while making 57.5 tackles on defense.
At 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, Mathis has a great frame that can take on even more muscle and mass. His quickness helps separate him from others.
