As stated before, Northern Arizona is the most under recruited region in Arizona. This season, Northern Arizona had over 7 teams make the playoffs. Defensive wins championships, and Snowflake High school proved it, as they were able to win the 3A state championship and put a handful of players on this list. <em>DPOY</em> <strong>Terren Green, LB/RB,</strong> Snowflake HS (C/O 2021): Green was 4th in the state and #1 in 3A with 121 tackles, 68 of them solo. Green is an instinctual LB and reacts to the ball fast, and is strong at the POA. He did a great job of meeting ball carriers at the LOS and shows to be a promising NAIA-D2 prospect with solid potential.
<em>DL </em>[player_tooltip player_id="42768" first="Jonathan" last="Justice"], Lake Havasu HS (C/O 2021): Justice was a feared pass rusher with excellent length and quickness and also showed the ability to cover ground well.
<em>DL</em> <strong>Payson Cardon</strong>, Snowflake HS (C/O 2021): Cardon was a nightmare off the edges as he led 3A in sacks with 13. His overall athleticism made him a huge mismatch against OT’s, and shows solid position versatility at the next level.
<em>DL</em><strong> Andrew Rodriguez</strong>, River Valley HS (C/O 2021): Rodriguez was a solid pass rusher as he racked up 9 sacks on the year.
<em>DL</em> <strong>Raul Martinez</strong>, Mohave HS (C/O 2022): Martinez is a very aggressive player with violent hands. He showed a very quick initial get off and is strong at the POA.
<em>DL </em><strong>Donald DelMonaco, </strong>Lee Williams HS (C/O 2021): DelMonaco did a good job shedding blocks and shows solid size at 6'4" 220lbs and has potential for versatility along the DL.
<em>LB</em> <strong>Nate Wright</strong>, Prescott HS (C/O 2021): Wright was a big contender for DPOY. He was the best all-around athlete in Northern Arizona, and plays violent with a high motor. He fills alleys well, shows good closing speed, and a good striking ability. He doesn’t hold any offers yet, and is a player to offer ASAP.
<em>LB</em> <strong>Collin Knight</strong>, Chino Valley HS (C/O 2021): Knight was a fly around player and averaged 15 tackles per game in 7 games played for 3A Chino Valley.
<em>LB</em> <strong>Manuel Cardoza</strong>, Coconino HS (C/O 2021): Cardoza racked up 10 TFL’s, and showed excellent reaction and short area quickness, and utilized this well to attack ball carriers behind the LOS often.
<em>LB</em> <strong>Collin Doucette</strong>, Flagstaff HS (C/O 2021): Doucette showed to be a very balanced LB, as he led Flagstaff in tackles with 85, and also posed to be effective dropping into coverage.
<em>LB</em> <strong>Cooper Ervien</strong>, Show Low HS (C/O 2022): Ervein had a short season, but showed solid play reaction and established himself as a big striker, making him a threat between the tackles for run support.
<em>DB</em> <strong>Brayden Nelson</strong>, Prescott HS (C/O 2021): Nelson was a ball hawk as he was able to snag 4 INT’s and turn two of those into pick six’s. Nelson has good closing speed, aided in run support, and an excellent nose for the ball.
<em>DB </em><strong>Ryson Stuart</strong>, Snowflake HS (C/O 2021): Stuart was a scrappy DB and was able to snag 5 INT’s. He did a great job punching through the ball to force PBU’s, including a TD saving PBU in the state championship.
<em>DB</em> <strong>Angelo Alveraz, </strong>Mingus HS (C/O 2022): Alveraz is a sneaky upcoming DB. He has an impressive nose for the ball with good ball skills with solid overall athleticism. He is a sneaky D3 type player to get on your radar as a 2022 ATH.
<em>DB</em> [player_tooltip player_id="42854" first="Andy" last="Ruiz"]<strong>, </strong>Coconino HS (C/O 2022): Ruiz shows solid physicality and length. He does his best work as a pressing CB and makes it tough for receivers to get a clean release.
<em>DB</em> <strong>Trevor Cline</strong>, Payson HS (C/O 2021): The former QB was solid in the secondary as he showed excellent ply recognition and did a good job flying up for run support. He also added 3 INT's.
<em>AP</em> <strong>Luke McCauslin</strong>, Prescott HS (C/O 2021): McCauslin lined up as a LB, SS, and was even a very effective pass rusher. He has impressive position versatility and could fit into numerous D2 schemes. He does a good job shedding blocks and sticks his nose in every play, and can be effective anywhere on the defensive side of the ball.
<em>AP</em> J<strong>acob Kern</strong>, Blue Ridge HS (C/O 2021): Kern is a solid all around athlete and was able to snag 3 INT's and force numerous PBU's. He established himself as a very effective DB, but also showed to be a solid one-on-one tackler and flew to the ball very well fr run support.
