Updated Look at SC’s Top 5 Wide Receivers
There has not been much movement at the top of the receiver board but the talent is very good with a lot of P5 verbals in the state.

Jones is a big target who can come away with the jump ball and has long speed to break open a big play. He also displays good body control and balance down the sideline. His athletic ability has made him a good basketball player as well. The Myrtle Beach product is a North Carolina verbal.

[player_tooltip player_id="59295" first="Ahmari" last="Huggins-Bruce"], Dillon, 5’10, 163

Dillon is known for producing major D1 talent and Huggins-Bruce is just next in a long line of quality prospects. He is a smaller slot player with big time speed and quickness. He can cut on a dime and change direction very quickly. Scott Satterfield and Louisville have a verbal from this electric playmaker.

[player_tooltip player_id="59294" first="Joshua" last="Burrell"], Blythewood, 6’2, 212

There are few players like Burrell that come out of high school every year because he is big, strong, and not easy to bring down at all. He can also block very well and has enough speed to break a big play. The standout receiver is a Florida State verbal commitment.

[player_tooltip player_id="59300" first="O’Mega" last="Blake"], South Pointe, 6’3, 189

[player_tooltip player_id="59300" first="O’Mega" last="Blake"] has all the tools to be a good college player with size, good hands, speed, and good route running. He can be a deep threat or go across middle for a short/intermediate first down pickup. Blake can change direction and make defenders miss as well. Since the Will Muschamp firing the Gamecocks have lost a lot of verbal pledges but Blake has still stood strong with his South Carolina commitment.

[player_tooltip player_id="59304" first="Kendall" last="Long"], River Bluff, 6’3, 215

Long moves well at his size and has good body control and balance. The rankings at this point are very tough because you could argue for a couple others to be in this top 5 but you could also argue for Long to be higher on the list. Our 5th rated wide receiver is committed to Syracuse.
We are usually ranking just a top 5 but there are 4 other very talented players to keep on your radar.
[player_tooltip player_id="59308" first="Da’Shawn" last="Brown"], York, 6’1, 170- App State commit
[player_tooltip player_id="28442" first="Kobe" last="Paysour"], Gaffney, 6’1, 175- North Carolina commit
[player_tooltip player_id="50218" first="Will" last="Taylor"], Dutch Fork, 5’10 160- Clemson commit
[player_tooltip player_id="59318" first="Jameson" last="Tucker"], Mauldin, 6’1, 185- Uncommitted
