Greiner, a junior for Cardinal, posted 15 touchdowns this past season to lead the team to a 5-4 record.
The 6-foot-0, 170-pound Greiner is incredibly quick but also understands patience to allow for his teammates to open holes. Once in the open field, not many people on the field can catch Greiner.
Greiner recorded 35 receptions for 652 yards with 10 touchdowns, averaging almost 19 yards per catch. He also carried the ball 24 times for another 160 yards and four scores, posting nearly seven yards per carry.
Add in a kickoff return for a score, three successful two-point conversions, 52 tackles and 3.5 stops for loss and it’s obvious why coaches are already making contact with Greiner for his next stop.
“I have received messages from William Penn, NDSU and multiple invites to D3 camps,” Greiner said. “This process is just starting to take off and I am excited on what’s yet to come.
“My hopes for my future are to go to a D1 or D2 school to play football. The position I would like to play most in college is wide receiver, but I would also enjoy safety.”
With his size, speed and big-play abilities, Greiner fits in perfectly with the new-age spread offenses. Situate him in the slot to cause mismatches with opposing linebackers or safeties and you can take advantage of his talents.
Greiner has been a mainstay for Cardinal since coming into high school. As a freshman, he led the team with 23 receptions for 412 yards and five TDs, averaging nearly 18 yards per reception. He also played defense, making 25.5 tackles and picking off a pass with a fumble recovery.

Last year, Greiner again led the team with 26 receptions for 535 yards and five more scores, posting 20.6 yards per catch. He also had 157 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns while recording 49 tackles and two interceptions.
“I thought this past season went really good,” Greiner said. “I think it progressed for me as my confidence grew and the will to want to do special things that have never been done in school history.
“Areas I feel I could improve on are getting in the weight room more, being more vocal as a leader and going to more camps. I am setting goals to achieve all of those.”
