This past weekend National Preps hosted one of the most successful events in state history, featuring a majority of Oregon’s top talent. There are 60 top performers referenced here out of the 350 kids in attendance. Have a look at the MVP’s and some of the athletes who stood out on the day. 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28700" first="Drew" last="Carter"] 21’ QB Tigard (COMMITTED: Colorado)- MVP of the entire camp. Drew threw the ball well, but also tested off the charts, showing why he is one of the nation’s top dual sport athletes for 2021. 4* [player_tooltip player_id="28831" first="Trejon" last="Williams"] 22’ DB Jefferson- MVP of the camp on the defensive side of the ball. Projects as one of the top DBs ever to play football in Oregon. A future NFL athlete. 4* [player_tooltip player_id="28695" first="Nate" last="Rawlins-Kibonge"] 21’ DE Jefferson (COMMITTED: Oklahoma)- Nate’s combination of size and overall athleticism is incredibly rare. Possesses Ndamukong Suh type potential on the defensive side of the ball. 4* [player_tooltip player_id="28697" first="Damir" last="Collins"] 21’ RB Jefferson (COMMITTED: Oregon St)- Collins made a good decision staying home and could play early for the Beavers. He is a versatile back who will be a leader in receiving yards as well. 4* [player_tooltip player_id="28835" first="Emar’rion" last="Winston"] 22’ OLB Central Catholic (COMMITTED: Oregon)- The family name speaks for itself. Winston has the size and all of the tools. Expectations will be high. 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28837" first="Brian" last="Mannion"] 22’ QB Mountainside- Just to reiterate when all is said and done what could be one of the most offered QB’s in the nation for 2022. The Mavericks are a legit state title contender. 4* [player_tooltip player_id="28696" first="Keith" last="Brown"] 21’ LB Lebanon (COMMITTED: Oregon)- Every time Brown hits the camp circuit he shines. The question continues to be how that translates in the Pac-12 3* Kobe Young 21’ WR Chiawana (WA)- Earned MVP WR honors after a monster night. Expect this kid to blow up shortly and be a multi offer Pac 12 type athlete. 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28839" first="Jordan" last="King"] 22’ WR Central Catholic- King has the potential of being one of the most offered kids in the West for 2022. A potential 20+ D1 offer athlete. He is that good 3* Takari Hickle 22’ DE Tenino (WA)- Another MVP performance from Hickle on the D line after an outstanding Reno event. Has unreal body control and agility for a big body athlete. 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28717" first="Gavin" last="Haines"] 21’ RB West Linn- Racked up MVP honors at RB and was in the conversation for overall camp MVP. One of the only kids in the Northwest who could play D1 football on O and D. 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28715" first="Jeremiah" last="Noga"] 21’ WR Hidden Valley - Can’t say enough good things about this kid. He will end up with multiple D1 offers. Earned CO-MVP honors at WR for the camp 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28836" first="Keenan" last="Speer-Johnson"] 22’ WR Tigard- Already a big time D1 recruit. Expect him and [player_tooltip player_id="28700" first="Drew" last="Carter"] to make life miserable for secondary’s. NFL/D1 genes 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28703" first="Charlie" last="Pickard"] 21’ T Jesuit- Backed up his #1 state ranking on the line by earning CO-MVP honors at the camp. His 1st team accolades on D speak to his overall athleticism 3* [player_tooltip player_id="28841" first="Dondrae" last="Fair"] 22’ QB Jefferson- Super intelligent kid who could be that Michael Vick type of a threat. Has the potential to be a 1000+ yard rusher, separate from his passing ability. 3*[player_tooltip player_id="28842" first="Jacob" last="Newell"] 22’ TE Thurston- Newell just keeps jumping up the ranks every time he steps on the field. His very versatile 6-5 frame could land some big time offers in the near future. Racked up MVP accolades at TE. 3*JJ Woodin 21’ QB Evergreen (WA)- One of the best performances of any athlete at the camp. Earned CO-MVP honors at QB. Look for him to be a state statistical leader and my Washington breakout player of the year. 3* JP Zamora 22’ QB Chiawana (WA)- Zamora went off earning QB MVP Underclassmen honors at the camp. His offers to Utah and Nevada are just the beginning. 2* [player_tooltip player_id="28720" first="Blake" last="DeBisschop"] 21’ QB West Linn- DeBisschop has a whip. Named CO-MVP as a QB. As noted numerous times, get this kid a couple games worth of film and he will have a handful of D1 offers. 3* Kaden Huppin 23’ ATH Westview- Probably the best player in Oregon for 2023. Earned underclassmen MVP honors after running some of the most impressive routes at the camp. 3*[player_tooltip player_id="28705" first="Trent" last="Walker"] 21’ ATH Beaverton- Just to reiterate my #1 ranked WR/DB in Oregon for 2021. Had an outstanding event earning CO-MVP WR honors. Three-sport standout and typically the best at whatever he does. 2* [player_tooltip player_id="28723" first="Andrew" last="Simpson"] 21’ ATH Mountainside- Big fan of this kid. One of the most versatile athletes in the NW. Couldn’t have been more impressed the few games I got to see him play last season. 2* Jalen Grable 21’ WR Westview (DNP- Last year)- One of the highest rated players in Oregon his freshman/sophomore year, before taking last season off. Unquestioned D1 kid who also won the camps fastest man race at 6-4. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28718" first="Zach" last="Holmes"] 21’ G West Linn - As good as West Linn will be on the perimeter, its kids like Holmes that lead you to a state title. Very strong and fundamentally sound kid. 2*Emilio Castaneda 21’ G/C Hood River- Earned CO-MVP honors with Pickard. Probably the break out lineman of the camp. The region’s top line coach Alex Linnenkohl had some nice things to say, "Emilio could go FBS and play in the NFL, he has those kind of tools" 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28712" first="Bryan" last="Cuthbertson"] 21’ LB Sherwood- The CO-MVP at LB. One of the best performances of the showcase. Separate from being the state’s hardest hitter and reigning conference POY, his agility and body control for a big backer is super impressive. 2* [player_tooltip player_id="28752" first="Timon" last="Davis"] 21’ CB Grant- Ran the fastest 40 at the showcase among 350 kids. D1 potential. Racked up 1st team all league honors as a Sophomore and will need to lead a loaded Generals team this season. Gabe Tahir 23’ CB Kamiakin (WA)- Long and super talented. Racked up underclass MVP honors, projecting as a future 4* type kid. 3*[player_tooltip player_id="28716" first="Dyami" last="Rios"] 21’ LB McNary- Just a very smart and fluid athlete. Everybody takes notice of Dyami with whatever he does. Earned CO-MVP honors with Cuthbertson. 3*[player_tooltip player_id="28840" first="Kaden" last="Ludwick"] 22’ OLB Clackamas- Watch Ludwick blow up over the next year. He has the size and all of the tools to be considered one of the top ranked OLB’s in the West for 2022. 3*Jacques Badolato-Birdsell 21’ RB Camas (WA)- Had an MVP type performance with his stock currently soaring. Expect him to run wild again for the Papermakers. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28788" first="Slade" last="Shufelt"] 21’ LB Hillsboro- Shufelt is a specimen. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him listed as one of Oregon’s most recruited for 2021 when the process is all said and done. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28735" first="Brody" last="Reese"] 21’ DT Century- Brody is going to cause a lot of problems for offenses. His brute strength and wrestling ability make him a multi-faceted threat on the interior. One of the fastest rising recruits in the region. 2*Jaylen Fite 21’ WR Evergreen (WA)- One of the best camps of any athlete in attendance. Was in the WR MVP conversation running phenomenal routes. Easily one of the most exciting players to watch in the NW. [player_tooltip player_id="28858" first="Dylan" last="Layne"] 22’ Safety Lake Oswego- Look for Dylan to be one of the best players in Oregon on the defensive side of the ball this season as an underclassmen. He is that good. Chip Allers 23’ LB Summit- When all is said and done Allers has the potential of being one of the most recruited kids in the west for 2023. Very few athletes his age have the physical tools and test the way he does. [player_tooltip player_id="28846" first="Cole" last="Prusia"] 22’ ATH/DB Tualatin- One of the best players in Oregon. Period. Look for Prusia to be listed as maybe the state’s top two-way threat for the class of 22’. [player_tooltip player_id="28743" first="Connor" last="Stevens"] 21’ LB Sunset- Just a very talented athlete with size. Ivy’s should be all over him as he will be a favorite for Metro League defensive POY honors this season. Jayden Moses 23’ LB Grant- Had an outstanding camp earning underclass CO-MVP honors for 2023. Gained notoriety this past season as the only freshman in Oregon to earn all-conference honors at the 6A level. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28762" first="Jack" last="Artman"] 21’ QB Clackamas- A big reason I have Clack ranked #4 to start the season. Artman in precise with his throws and won’t be rattled in crunch time. Much like DeBisschop he needs some game film. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28727" first="Tanner" last="Volk"] 21’ ATH Aloha- Volk landed an early offer from Portland St at Safety as he can play on either side of the ball. Tanner is a tough kid who has done well coming from a football family. [player_tooltip player_id="28844" first="Brooks" last="Ferguson"] 22’ QB West Salem- The big kid out of the Valley showed up and impressed. Separate from his size, his overall athletic ability is appealing, as he will also play Safety at 6-5 for the Titans. 2* Eugene Brown 21’ Slot Garfield (WA)- Really like this kid. He was tenacious and fearless catching balls and then turning up field. Definitely had an impressive day. Ethan Biondine 24’ LB Lakeridge- Pretty scary this kids only a freshman. The transfer from St. Louis HS in Hawaii is going to be a big time D1 recruit with added size and continued progression. Was named the 2024 MVP for the day. 2* [player_tooltip player_id="28776" first="Dane" last="Sipos"] 21’ Safety Lebabon- Sipos turned heads all day with multiple people saying who’s that? Definitely a talented kid who has been somewhat overshadowed by [player_tooltip player_id="28696" first="Keith" last="Brown"]’s success. Spencer Kuffel 21’ DB Tigard- Look for Kuffel to have a monster senior campaign after earning all conference honors as a sophomore and being injured last season. His teammates rave about his ability. [player_tooltip player_id="28860" first="Zachery" last="Grisham"] 22’ Safety Central Catholic- One of the most talented athletes in Oregon for 22’. He will most likely split carries with [player_tooltip player_id="28880" first="Xavier" last="Simpson"] while projecting on defense at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="28745" first="Jacob" last="Pollock"] 21’ DB Sherwood- One of the fastest rising recruits in the region. Pollock is a physical athlete who can come up and hit you, and even importantly lock you down in the secondary. [player_tooltip player_id="28784" first="Jamison" last="Price"] 21’ LB Grant- Price had one of the most impressive performances of the day, almost winning the fastest man competition. Something rare for any LB to do. Statistically he could go down as one of the best defenders in Grant history. [player_tooltip player_id="28864" first="Zac" last="Waible"] 22’ LB Lakeridge- Waible had a breakout Sophomore campaign earning all conference honors. He backed that up nicely winning the fastest man competition as a LB. Could potentially be a Strong Safety at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="28734" first="Ajani" last="Jones"] 21’ DL Grant- Ajani moves incredibly well for a big man. Look for him to have a nice year on D after earning 1st team All PIL accolades on offense. 2* [player_tooltip player_id="28759" first="Kaanan" last="Huffman"] 21’ DE West Linn- With Huffman’s size and West Linn’s #1 ranking he could get a lot of eyes on him this coming season. Definitely a kid who could blow up in the coming months. [player_tooltip player_id="28859" first="Trenton" last="Hughes"] 22’ WR Hood River- Hughes went off as a Sophomore earning 1st team all conference honors. He will benefit from having the likes of OSU commit [player_tooltip player_id="28704" first="Henry" last="Buckles"] and talented D1 projected lineman Emilio Castaneda on the same roster. [player_tooltip player_id="28755" first="Thomas" last="McNamara"] 21’ Safety West Linn- It will be tough to match his unanimous All TRL selection from last season, but Thomas can play. Expect big things from the Hybrid WLB/SS. Dontae Myrick 21’ T Jefferson- One of the breakout performers on the line. Myrick missed most of his Junior season due to injury. He is an impressive kid at 6-5 with agility. Expect to hear much more about him with a successful upcoming year. 2* [player_tooltip player_id="28756" first="Ryan" last="Dirksen"] 21’ T Central Catholic- Dirksen had an average season last year, but looked great at the showcase. His 6-6 290 pound frame is ideal at the collegiate level with continued progression. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28731" first="Ty" last="Delgado"] 21’ DL Parkrose- The reigning lineman of the year in the NWOC had a productive showcase event, showing off his overall versatility. 2*[player_tooltip player_id="28740" first="Kanen" last="Rossi"] 21’ OL Sunset- Another kid who’s stock is rising quickly. Rossi moved well and did what was necessary to solidify his ranking among the state’s best. [player_tooltip player_id="28779" first="Clay" last="Masters"] 21’ ATH West Linn- Masters looked the best I have ever seen him after an impressive Junior season. He was definitely one of the fastest and agile athletes at the showcase. Blake Swanson 21’ DE Pendleton- Not a lot of people know about him playing out in rural Eastern Oregon but Swanson is legit. Look for a big upcoming season. [player_tooltip player_id="28757" first="Miles" last="Wilson"] 21’ RB Reynolds- Miles will be a three year starter and if he can stay healthy a conference player of the year favorite coming out of the backfield. Aden Murphy 21 LB Tigard- One of the more underrated kids for the 21’ class. Murphy looked good at the showcase earning 2nd team All TRL honors last season.
