Florida Gators Making Moves In State

One of the things that University of Florida head football coach <strong>Dan Mullen</strong> said when he took over the job was that he wanted to keep many marquee prospect home. <img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-63534" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/10/Recruiting-Logo-300x188.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="188" />With so many talented athletes playing here in the Sunshine State, many fans of not only Florida, but FSU and Miami as well believe that more “star-rated” prospects should stay home – instead of heading to other powers across the country. When Mullen was at Florida before, he had long talked about the amazing football talent at home – and as he continues to turn the Gators into a power, Florida-bred athletes are certainly part of the success they have achieved. With a few Floridians coming about in the 2020 Class, you can already see how this 2021 group has that familiar look of gifted athletes that are taught and raised right here in Florida. In addition to having 14 players committed from the Sunshine State, the Gators also have Clemson running back transfer <strong>Demarkcus Bowman</strong> (Lakeland) coming in as well. This is a class that has talent on both sides – with offensive linemen <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32686" first="Javonte" last="Gardner"], [player_tooltip player_id="32884" first="Jake" last="Slaughter"]</strong>, Ocala Trinity Catholic and <strong>Adrien Strickland</strong>, Lynn Haven Mosley. There are also tight ends<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="32826" first="Rocco" last="Underwood"]</strong>, Lake Mary and <strong>Gage Wilcox</strong>, Tampa Jefferson.
