The regular season in Kansas has been completed and several Eight-Man players head into the playoffs with momentum on their sides.
Here is a look at the top Eight-Man football performers of Week Eight.
<strong>Devan McEwan, Lebo </strong> – McEwan has strung together two solid weeks in a row. The senior quarterback is a two-sport star at Lebo, but right now he is shining on the gridiron. He rushed for 114 yards in a 49-0 win over Marais Des Cygnes Valley. He rushed for three touchdowns and threw two more. Lebo finished the regular season 8-0 and will play at home against Chetopa in the first round of the 8MII Playoffs.
<strong>Zac Fisher, Onaga</strong> – Fisher, a sophomore quarterback rushed for 237 yards in Onaga’s lost to Axtell. The fleet-footed youngster will be a player to keep an eye on moving forward. Onaga is 2-5 and will travel to St. John’s Tipton for the first round of the playoffs.
<strong>Brock Griffin, Chase County </strong>– Griffin, a freshman running back rushed for 114 yards in a 46-0 win over Oxford. Chase County is now 6-2 and will host a first-round playoff game against Dexter/Cedar Vale.
<strong>Brayden Collins, Canton Galva</strong>– Collins rushed for 206 yards and six touchdowns in the Eagles 70-8 victory over Lincoln. That’s back-to-back weeks in which the Eagles have scored 70 points. Collins is a special talent looking for a college offer.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35585" first="Tyson" last="Struber"], Canton Galva </strong>– Struber had 154 yards receiving and a touchdown to go along with Collins’ big night on the ground. Canton Galva is now 8-0 and will host Valley Falls in the first round of the 8MI Playoffs.
