With most of Pennsylvania’s high school programs playing football at this point, it’s time to take a look at how the state’s top quarterbacks in the 2021 class are performing.
[player_tooltip player_id="27192" first="Kyle" last="McCord"] - St. Joes Prep
McCord finally started his senior season last weekend against Virginia’s Life Christian Academy and was terrific through the air, passing for 361-yards and three touchdowns. The Ohio State commit connected with his fellow future Buckeye [player_tooltip player_id="27189" first="Marvin" last="Harrison Jr"] for all three touchdowns.
[player_tooltip player_id="27199" first="Lonnie" last="White Jr"] - Malvern Prep
Lonnie White and Malvern Prep have yet to take the field this season. They open up their season on Saturday against Germantown Academy. White is committed to play wide receiver for Penn State but is also considered a top prospect for next year’s MLB Draft.
Kaden Kolson - Trinity
We were unable to nail down any stats for Kolson right now but the senior quarterback for Trinity’s most recent HUDL tape continues to show what makes him our No.3 Kolson has the Trinity Hillers off to a 3-2 start this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="27312" first="Jordan" last="Longino"] - Germantown Academy
An elite basketball recruit, Longino is committed to play basketball at Vanderbilt. While Germantown Academy is set to take on Malvern Prep this weekend, it’s unclear if Longino will be playing this fall.
[player_tooltip player_id="27322" first="Jeron" last="Phillips Jr."] - Landsdale Catholic
Like both White Jr and Longino, Phillips Jr. has yet to start his 2020 season. The Davidson commitment is a great athlete who has the chance to be a special DUAL threat quarterback for the Wildcats in the future.
[player_tooltip player_id="27324" first="Jayden" last="Pope"] - Roman Catholic
Another Philadelphia Catholic League quarterback on our list, Pope and the Cahillite will start off their season this weekend against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast. Pope has great size at 6--foot-4 and 200-pounds to go along with good arm strength and accuracy. He projects to be a high-quality Division II or Division III prospect.
[player_tooltip player_id="27334" first="Will" last="Spochart"] - Berlin Brothersvalley High School
In his senior season, Spochart is off to a quality start completing 29-of-43 passing attempts for 498-yards and four touchdowns to just one interception. He also has 83 carries for 686-yards and 10-touchdowns. A true dual-threat quarterback, Spochart is on track to put up big-time numbers this season. Like Pope, we believe he could be a high-quality Division II prospect.
[player_tooltip player_id="27352" first="Naman" last="Alemada"] - South Fayette
The first thing that stands out is Alemada’s prototypical size at 6-foot-5 and 205-pounds. Last year as a junior, Alemada put up big numbers, passing for 2,954-yards and 32 touchdowns while completing 65.6% of his passes, opening up a lot of eyes. This season, Alemada has picked up where he left off and is putting up big numbers. He does have an FCS offer to play at Long Island University and is receiving what appears to be a great deal of Division II looks as well.
[player_tooltip player_id="27363" first="Cole" last="Spencer"] - Pine-Richland
A highly smart quarterback, Spencer is already set to extend his athletic career at the next level as he has a wrestling commitment to Penn. That being said, the Pine-Richland quarterback has been quite the player on the field as well. So far this season, Spencer has completed 61-of-88 passing attempts for 13-touchdowns and four interceptions.
