Bridgeland Bears
QB Conner Weigman Conner Weigman 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bridgeland | 2022 State TX #15 (2022) –
Weigman shows great arm talent and ability to keep eyes down the field. Weigman’s ability to extend plays has been impressive as well as his ability to deliver a good ball under distress. He has been trouble for the opposition outside of the pocket and shows great athleticism and strength in his runs. On the year, Weigman has thrown for 1,455 yards with 14 touchdowns, averaging 291 per game. He has run for 424 yards along with 6 touchdowns, averaging 85 yards a game.
RB Mason Culton #27 (2022)
Culton’s combination of quickness and power has stood out in games. With a strong lower body, Culton shows his power in finishing runs. His ability to catch out of the backfield and make people miss plays a crucial role in this Bridgeland offense. Culton through 5 games has ran for 256 yards with 2 touchdowns, and has over 100 yards receiving.
WR Atrevion Hunter #7 (2021)
Hunter’s speed is the first thing that pops out. If you lose sight of him on defense it is most likely a touchdown. Hunter’s ability to turn a slant or a jet sweep into a big gain puts pressure on the defending team. He is averaging almost 15 yards a reception along with 3 touchdowns this year.
WR Andrew Maleski #6 (2022)
Another weapon for Weigman, provides a reliable target and a valuable option to move the sticks. Strong hands shows physicality in contested catches. Maleski leads the team in receiving touchdowns with 4 and is second on the team in receptions with 20 on the year.
WR Hunter Wallis #19 (2021)
The leader in receiving yards in this talented group, Wallis shows up when the ball gets to him. He provides a deep threat for Weigman, as well as another first down getter. His numbers show his ability and is one to keep an eye on. Wallis leads the team with 31 receptions and is also the team leader in receiving yards with 511 yards, averaging 102 yards per game.
Other players to watch on this talented offense are TEs Dylan Crippen Dylan Crippen 6'4" | 230 lbs | TE Bridgeland | 2021 TX (2021) and Jonathan Nelson (2023) who provide good blocking along side the offensive line, as well as big play options for Weigman.
Cypress Park Tigers
QB Edward Dixon #5 (2022)
Even in a Wing T, run dominant offense, Dixon has shown his efficiency and ability to protect the ball through the air. Not often is his number called on to throw, but he has made the most out of his opportunities. On the season Dixon has 7 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, while also throwing for 453 yards.
RB Nathan Livingston #8 (2022)
In a backfield of crowded with talent, Livingston stands out with his big run abilities. His vision and ability to follow his blocks between the tackles has been the reason behind his team leading numbers. Through 5 games, Livingston has a team high 708 yards on the ground along with 12 touchdowns and is averaging 142 per game.
RB Harold Perkins Harold Perkins 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Cypress Park | 2022 State TX #4 (2022)
Not only is he a play maker on defensive, he also leaves his mark on the offensive side of the ball as well. The 4-star’s ability to find an extra gear in open space which was shown in his season-long 83 yard touchdown run vs. Cypress Springs. He adds to an already potent run game with Livingston. On the year Perkins has 568 yards rushing with 7 touchdowns and is averaging 114 yards per game.
RB Cameron King #17 (2022)
King is the final piece to this three headed monster of a backfield. Speed. Elusivness. King is always a threat to break it when he touches the ball, just as the other backs. It is easy to lose him behind that talented o-line and if your eyes are wrong, King is most likely already passed you. King has 525 yards on the season to go along with 7 touchdowns and is averaging 105 yards rushing per game.
It would be rude of me to not mention the Tigers o-line whose ability to move off of the ball and get to the next level has led to such a dominating run game. Averaging almost 395 yards per game with 3 backs averaging over 100 yards a game is a statement, and the Tigers o-line deserves praise for it.
