Friday night’s Week 3 action brought some very notable performances. Some teams picked up major results behind their key players. Let’s take a look at five key performances from Oct. 16.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="28054" first="Patrick" last="LePoidevin"], Bound Brook: </strong>LePoidevin threw for 224 yards and four touchdown passes in Bound Brook’s 32-8 victory Friday night.
Jayden Brimage hauled in a pair of TD passes from LePoidevin. Brimage caught six balls for 151 yards. [player_tooltip player_id="27994" first="Bryce" last="Cobb"] ran for 168 yards on 13 carries for Bound Brook. The Crusaders improved to 2-1.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="28033" first="Semaj" last="Black"], Timber Creek: </strong>Black ran for 126 yards as Timber Creek shut out Highland Friday evening. The 126 yards was a career-high for the junior running back.
<strong>Kobi Ray-Reed, Lenape:</strong> Ray-Reed ran for touchdowns of 5 and 30 yards and caught a 41-yard TD pass from Brady Long as No. 3 Lenape shut out Seneca, 38-0, Friday evening. Lenape now has outscored opponents 76-7 through two games.
<strong>Frank Kontely, Mendham: </strong>After getting shut out its first two games of the season, Mendham earned a 21-0 victory over Chatham on Friday night. Kontely went 15-of-23 attempts for 173 yards and threw two TD passes. He connected with Sean Bierals on a 35-yard TD and then scored on a run.
<strong>Jalin Brownlee, Camden: </strong>Brownlee threw for 433 yards and four touchdowns as Camden defeated Shawnee 40-21 Friday night. Brownlee was efficient. He connected on TD throws to [player_tooltip player_id="27873" first="Alijah" last="Clark"], of 43 and 44 yards, and he found Darian Chestnut (60 yards) and Corey Palmer (82 yards) on TD strikes.
