Arizona is stacked with big play makers in 2020. There are so many that oftentimes a select group may not get the recognition they need, especially at the WR position. Many are capable of it, but who is going to step up and separate themselves from everyone else? Here are some sleepers that are prone for big 2020 seasons:
[player_tooltip player_id="42760" first="Dominic" last="Digian"], 6’0" 190lbs
Casteel HS
Dominic is a big play threat in an explosive Casteel offense. He is used at both in the slot and outside and is electric from both positions. He possesses an excellent release using technique and is a nightmare for DB’s in man coverage. Dominic has great speed and displays his elite ability to consistently create separation. He shows good route integrity as well as being able to find open windows. Dominic shows great field awareness by knowing where the sticks and sidelines are while making clutch catches. Look for Dominic to be a major spark in the Casteel offense in 2020.
[player_tooltip player_id="42729" first="Branson" last="Heywood"], 5’11" 170lbs.
Higley HS
Branson is your reliable, clutch WR. He is extremely dangerous in open field with his shiftiness and has big play ability. Branson can turn a hitch into a touchdown on any given play, and if you don’t wrap him up then he won’t go down. He has strong hands and shows a good ability to high point balls. He is very disguising with his routes which provides him with the ability to make DB’s hesitate or second guess themselves. He uses his speed to get on top of routes, posing as a solid deep threat. Branson is expected to have a busy year in a loaded Higley offense.
[player_tooltip player_id="42667" first="Elijah" last="Sanders"], 5’10" 170lbs.<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-24524" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2020/06/Generic-Featured-Image-5-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" />
Ironwood HS
Elijah is the spark in the Ironwood offense and he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He shows good speed with extremely quick feet which helps him with releases against physical corners. He shows his athleticism by being able to adjust quickly and track balls thrown his way. He runs exceptional routes and is very explosive out of his breaks. Elijah possesses good ball skills, and would fit perfect as a slot at the college level. Expect Elijah to be targeted often this season by his standout QB [player_tooltip player_id="42593" first="Will" last="Haskell"].
[player_tooltip player_id="42715" first="Capri" last="Hamilton"], 5’8" 160lbs.
Chapparal HS
Capri plays aggressive for his size, and positions himself very well. He shows a good release with the ability to get stacked over DB’s. His best trait is his ability to get up field immediately after the catch to gain the extra YAC’s. He shows a good ability to track the ball and can high point the ball well despite his height. He shows a good leaping ability with good hands as well. Capri should have a big role this season with Chapparal.
[player_tooltip player_id="42766" first="Daijon" last="Safford"], 5’11" 165lbs.
Coronado HS
Daijon is an offensive standout of 3A football. He shows an excellent leaping ability making him a threat on deep routes and jump balls. He posses some of the most impressive hands in Arizona by catching anything thrown his way. He can out jump any DB in 3A, as he is also the 3A state champion in the track triple jump. He has good speed and uses it to get stacked over corners. He shows a very good ability to track the ball and come back to the ball when under thrown. Daijon should have a lot of hype for the 2020 season.
