The 4A Club Midseason Player Rankings: Offensive Linemen

Every four weeks I like to take a look at the landscape of Class 4A football and come up with my own player rankings based on statistics. How I come up with my ratings is a system based on pro-football-reference.com’s "Approximate Value" system of ratings they use for overall performance during a season. For this article, I’m taking a look at my top 20 Class 4A Offensive Tackles and top 20 interior linemen.   *Stats are up to Week 4* (Also, my top five linemen are all tackles, so I’m gonna start off with my top 20 tackles list)   Top 20 Offensive Tackles   #1. He’s physically imposing especially when he’s moving defenders out of the way for the run game.   #2. Justice Miller, Ankeny, SR - 17.967 6’1, 240 lbs Team Rushing YPG: 253.25 YPG Team Passing YPG: 175.25 YPG Highest Offers: N/A Analysis: Although he’s a one-year starter, Justice Miller has proven to be a solid piece on Ankeny’s dominant offense. He’s a physical blindside tackle that can grade the road just as well as he can protect the passer.   #3.
