Arlis Boardingham Arlis Boardingham 6'5" | 220 lbs | ATH Birmingham Community | 2022 State CA , WR, 6’4 210 lbs., Birmingham
Arlis already has elite size for multiple positions at the college level measuring in at 6’4” 210 lbs. going into his junior season. He’s an extremely gifted athlete for his size with plus straight line speed and natural ball skills. He has very strong hands with a large catch radius using his length and leaping ability to come down with 50/50 balls over the top of defenders. In the last month Colorado, Boston College, and Nevada have all offered him. With his size combined with his ability to play multiple positions it won’t be long until other major D1 programs follow suit.
Ian Jernagin Ian Jernagin 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Garces Memorial | 2022 State CA , RB, 5’10” 200 lbs., Garces Memorial
Jernagin is a good all-around back with plus size and a strong frame at 5’10” 200 lbs. After transferring to Garces Memorial and not playing in 2019, he has performed well at camps and showcases this offseason. He recently landed an offer from Colorado in addition to previous offers from Arizona and Nevada. As a ball carrier, he is a downhill runner with plus vision and balance. He shows quick lateral agility and change of direction to avoid tacklers but also shows good power to run through contact. Expect him to have a big season on a loaded Garces Memorial team and for his recruiting stock to continue to rise.
Jason Thompson, WR, 6’0” 175 lbs., Harvard Westlake
An explosive playmaker with speed and quickness, Thompson is just scratching the surface of his potential. He shows plus acceleration and burst off the LOS using a variety of releases to gain quick separation. He’s a very precise and natural route runner that is creative and smooth in and out of his breaks. College’s will love his natural catching ability and no fear attitude going over the middle and catching the ball in traffic. After the catch, he gets up the field quickly and can make defenders miss in open space using his short area quickness and lateral agility. He’s also a very capable and willing blocker on the outside. Arizona State recently offered him after UNLV was his first in July. He’s an extremely well rounded receiver to keep an eye on as he climbs recruiting boards this upcoming season.
Michael Wooten, OL, 6’6” 310 lbs., Sierra Canyon
Wooten already has elite level size at 6’6” 310 lbs. entering his junior season. He’s an all-around impressive talent with his combination of flexibility, bend, and strength. He is very strong and powerful at the contact point with the ability to drive his feet and finish his blocks. He shows good feet and mobility in pass protection and when working to the second level. He’s still developing his raw technique and fundamentals but his natural talent and size is undeniable leading to recent offers from UNLV, Colorado, and ASU within the last month. With continued improvement, he could become one of the top 2022 offensive lineman on the west coast.
