Yesterday, we released our preseason first-team all-state offense. The team was headlined by a trio of prospects from St. Joes Prep in Philadelphia. Today, we move to the defensive side of the ball, where once again the Philadelphia Powerhouse has a strong showing.
DL: [player_tooltip player_id="27190" first="Elliot" last="Donald"] - Pittsburgh Central Catholic: The state’s top defensive lineman in the 2021 recruiting class is an easy preseason first-team all-state selection. Donald has the ability to take the game over defensively and is a true game wrecker. He’s going to be double-teamed a lot but that shouldn’t stop him from dominating.
DL: [player_tooltip player_id="27553" first="Enai" last="White"] - Imhotep: The top defensive lineman regardless of class in the sate in my mind is White. He was scary good as just a sophomore and I think I speak for the entire PrepRedzone Pennsylvania team when I say, we’re excited to see his growth heading into this season.
DL: [player_tooltip player_id="27197" first="Elijah" last="Jeudy"] - Northeast: The Georgia commitment is a high-potential prospect who may end up being the most impact defensive lineman at the next level in the 2021 recruiting class.
DL: [player_tooltip player_id="27191" first="Nahki" last="Johnson"] - West Mifflin: Johnson is quite the high-potential defensive end himself thanks to great size but also great burst and athleticism that allows him to get into opposing backfields quickly. It’s going to be hard for anyone to stop him.
LB: [player_tooltip player_id="27193" first="Jeremiah" last="Trotter Jr"] - St. Joes Prep: [player_tooltip player_id="27190" first="Elliot" last="Donald"] isn’t the only player on the list with NFL ties as [player_tooltip player_id="27193" first="Jeremiah" last="Trotter Jr"] is the son of former NFL star linebacker Jeremiah Trotter (obviously). Trotter is as almost as complete as they come when it comes to being a high school linebacker. Unfortunately, St. Joes Prep of course will not be playing this fall due to COVID.
LB: Donovan McMillian - Peters Township: McMillian has the ability to play both linebacker and safety and truly could be a first-team selection at either position. He’s a special talent to say the least.
LB: [player_tooltip player_id="27556" first="Abdul" last="Carter"] - La Salle: Carter has everything you look for in a future Power 5 linebacker when it comes to speed, athleticism, and skillset. A class of 2022 prospect, Carter is going to have the chance to be a high impact player for years to come.
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="27554" first="Keenan" last="Nelson Jr."] - St. Joes Prep: Our no.2 overall player in the class of 2022 was in for what would’ve been a huge junior season after showing his abilities last year. We will have to wait until the spring to see his growth from last season.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id="27188" first="Derrick" last="Davis"] - Gateway: A special talent, Davis is highly physical safety and in all ways is an ELITE talent that could make an impact from day one at the next level. He’s going to be incredibly fun to watch this season and wherever he plays his college ball.
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="27194" first="Tyreek" last="Chappell"] - Northeast: The Texas A&M commitment is pretty good in his own right and is a shutdown corner for Northeast.
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="27201" first="Javon" last="McIntyre"] - Imhotep Charter: McIntyre is a physical safety who’s able to make plays on the ball both on the ground and through the air. He’s good at also getting into opposing backfields and has a knack for finding himself around the ball and making big plays.
