My7on7 Varsity 3A Standouts-Week 3

<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">EDEN PRAIRIE– </span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Week 3 from the My7on7 Fall League was one of the best ones yet. There were many prospects to watch even though a smaller field due to the MSHSL’s decision to play football this fall. That caused about 10 or so teams in the My7on7 Fall League to drop out to focus on the upcoming high school season that starts practice tomorrow.</span> <span data-preserver-spaces="true">With this list of “game balls,” we take an in-depth look at the standouts from the Varsity 3A division of My7on7, which included programs most. Some of these kids are well known on PrepRedzone.com, and others are first-time mentions for their play yesterday!</span> <strong>Merrick Woods, QB, SMB (2024)</strong> Woods played well in the first look I had of him. His footwork and ball placement are what stood out on my end, as you could tell Woods was eager to get out of the pocket and run but you, unfortunately, you can’t do that in 7on7 football but it will be fun to watch in the live games in the coming weeks! No Tape. <strong>JT Zell, QB, Hopkins (2021)</strong> <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2CEdcq">Tape vs. Lakeville North</a> <strong>Bryce Wingad, QB, Eau Claire Memorial (WI) (2021)</strong> No Tape. <strong>Gabe Ottmar, QB, Hopkins (2023)</strong> No Tape, but will be Hopkins starter this year so if you are looking for a young QB prospect to watch in the Twin Cities, Ottmar is it. What stands out?
