Overview:
On Monday, September 7th, I attended the "Litty in the City" workout hosted by Next Level Athletics. The workout was organized by Next Level founder Greg Holcomb and featured a plethora of talent from around the Chicagoland area. Some of the state’s top prospects like 2021 linebacker Tyler Mclaurin of Bolingbrook and 2022 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="20878" first="Tyler" last="Morris"] of Nazareth were in attendance. The event was flawless and ran perfectly. Checkout who stood out below!

2021 Prospects
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="20340" first="Jalen" last="Bates"], 6’, 180, Oak Park-River Forest
Kid was lockdown all-day. He lives for playing on an island & loves press coverage. I Loved his competitiveness.
WR: [player_tooltip player_id="20213" first="Dante" last="Reynolds"], 6’1, 180, Kenwood
Fluid route runner who moves really well. Easily get's off of press and has quick feet off the ball.
LB: [player_tooltip player_id="20204" first="Tyler" last="McLaurin"], 6’2, 220, Bolingbrook
This was my first time seeing Tyler in-person, and man is he put together. He's a natural in pass coverage and looks like a college linebacker already. Michigan got a good one.
LB: [player_tooltip player_id="20318" first="Malachi" last="McNeal"], 6’, 220, Warren
North Dakota straight up stole this kid. McNeal's best trait is his pure straight-line speed. He's easily one of the most underrated prospects in all of Illinois.
QB: [player_tooltip player_id="20223" first="Kaleb" last="Garner"], 5’11, 170, Kenwood
I had heard so many great things about Kaleb beforehand, and I was equally impressed by his ability in person. St. Thomas' newest commit can straight up sling it and showed impressive touch on top of it.

TE: Anthony Cirrincione, 6'5, 215, South Elgin

This is a big man who can move. Despite having a massive frame, Anthony still showed soft hands and superb route-running skills. The 2021 season will be huge for him.
RB: [player_tooltip player_id="20209" first="Lewis" last="Bond"], 6’1, 200, Kenwood
The Boston College commit is a true three-down back who can do it all. His ability to catch the ball with his hands was evident throughout, and I think based on what I saw Monday, he can play in the slot too if need be.
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="20341" first="Myles" last="Mooyoung"], 6’, 190, Kenwood
Myles is a talented defensive back with long arms, who I think can play safety or corner at the next level. He was a natural in press coverage all day long.
QB: Josh Heckler, 6'3, 190, Evanson
I had never heard about Heckler beforehand, but I'm glad I know about him now. He showed a live arm and good size overall. He's a 2021 sleeper who I think could have a breakout senior season.

2022 Prospects
LB: [player_tooltip player_id="20918" first="Sebastian" last="Cheeks"], 6’2, 210, Evanston
An absolute freak who is chiseled and can run like a running back. He's athletic enough to run with slot receivers and can come up and make tackles in space. Easily a top-five prospect in the state in the 2022 class.
DB: [player_tooltip player_id="20930" first="Saveon" last="Brown"], 6’, 185, Thornwood
This is a kid whose stock is quickly rising. He was an absolute terror in press coverage and bullied wide receivers off the line. He looked much bigger than 185. More offers are coming.
WR: [player_tooltip player_id="20878" first="Tyler" last="Morris"], 6’, 170, Nazareth
I would not want to guard [player_tooltip player_id="20878" first="Tyler" last="Morris"]. This kid is such a fundamentally sound route runner and has good top-end speed that he uses to run by defenders. To me, he's one of the nation's best wide receivers.
QB: [player_tooltip player_id="20864" first="Nevan" last="Cremascoli"], 6’3, 205, New Trier
This guy has a quick & compact release, to go along with solid deep ball accuracy. He showed clean footwork in three and five-step drops, but also the ability to make throws on the run. Very interested in seeing his junior film.
ATH: [player_tooltip player_id="20881" first="Jashawn" last="Johnson"], 5’10, 160, Hoffman Estates
I was so Impressed by Johnson's straight-line speed; I mean, this kid can flat out fly. He's got clean cuts and can easily stop on a dime. Is he a wide receiver or defensive back? I don't really know too be honest.
WR: [player_tooltip player_id="20882" first="Quentrell" last="Harris"], 6’1,175, Lyons
Harris was easily one of the best wide receivers at the workout. He stacked defensive backs immediately after beating off the ball and showed he could line up in the slot and outside. Watch his double moves; they're beyond tough to guard.
QB: Aidan Pieper, 6’1, 180, St. Charles North
Pieper gets better every time I see him. He's got the tools to be a really good high school quarterback, and he's going to see his recruiting heat up with a big junior season. He showed pinpoint accuracy and really live arm.
WR: [player_tooltip player_id="20890" first="Max" last="Reese"], 6’3, 205, Fenwick
This kid is put together and moves well for a bigger wide receiver. Max is a Power Five talent with all the tools to be a really successful wide receiver. He's got quick feet that he uses to get off press and violent hands that he can slap away defenders jams with.
WR: [player_tooltip player_id="20887" first="Eian" last="Pugh"], 6’3, 170, Fenwick
The catch of the day had to go [player_tooltip player_id="20887" first="Eian" last="Pugh"]. Pugh is such a patient route runner who loves setting up defensive backs. He plucks the ball out of the air and can take the top off of any defense.
QB: Dontrell Jackson, 5’11, 185, Marist
Jackson is such a competitor and loves dissecting overages. He can throw on the run and get the ball from point a to point b fast. He threw darts to his wide receivers all afternoon and showed why he's one of Illinois' best.
ATH: Zeke Williams, 6'2, 180, Naperville North
I think Zeke could play defensive back or wide receiver at the next level. He's got great burst off the ball and is a long strider who tracks the football well. He's not on many people's radar just yet, but he should be soon.
QB: [player_tooltip player_id="20867" first="Aidan" last="Voss"], 5’11, 180, Joliet Catholic
Not the biggest guy in the world, but the kid can play. He's got solid mobility and arm strength. He consistently hit wideouts in stride and showed he could fit into any offense. I think he's got a ton of potential and could be a sleeper in the 2022 class.

2023 Prospects
Ryan Sims, 6'3, 195, Marist
Long, put together, and can run. Should end up being a division one prospect in the 2023 class.
Justin Taylor, 5'11, 170, Nazareth
This kid is extremely shifty and could end up being Nazareth’s other slot wide receiver opposite of [player_tooltip player_id="20878" first="Tyler" last="Morris"]. He can run and showed that he was a serious deep threat.
Grant Larkin, 5’10, 170, Neuqua Valley
This kid has a ton of upside and dominated on the lower levels. He's got a clean pedal, tight breaks, and overall good football instincts. Should be a playmaker on Neuqua's varsity squad as a sophomore.
