Top Athlete in State Talks Decision Heading to SEC

The top ranked Athlete in the 2027 Prep Redzone Illinois Rankings has made his decision. Rockford Guilford EDGE/tight end Keysan Taylor announced his commitment to Ole Miss over Kentucky and Vanderbilt on Saturday.

The #11 overall prospect in the state told us why the Rebels were his choice.

Being a legit P4 prospect on both sides of the ball during the evaluation process how does Ole Miss plan to utilize the freak show athlete from Rockford?

Taylor is the clear #1 ATH in the class!  As a edge player he racked up 68 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 7 pass breakups, 1 pick six, 23 TFLs, and 3 forced fumbles.  Then offensively at tight end he had 23 catches for 430 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Absolute freak show with his size, strength, and athleticism combo.  Explosive pass rusher around the edge.  Powerful with his hands.  Gets off blocks throwing tackles like they are rag dolls.  His speed to power is off the charts!  As a pass catcher he is a big target that snatches it with pretty natural hands and is tough to bring down with the ball in his hands.  Tracks it well on longer passes.  Good blocker in run game that takes pride in it.
