OH-IO! We have the most comprehensive coverage in the entire State of Ohio when it comes to preps. I have reached out to <a href="https://twitter.com/JaredL77">Jared Luginbill</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/GeorgePenree">George Penree</a>, and <a href="https://twitter.com/CoachFerrell3">Darion Ferrell</a> to collaborate with me on this mega article. Here are the top performers from all around the State.
<h3>CENTRAL OHIO</h3>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Pickerington Central - #3 [player_tooltip player_id="34180" first="Lorenzo" last="Styles"] (Sr.) WR, 6’1 180 -</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">A dynamic playmaker at inside and outside receiver had a great night catching a 50-yard bomb to help Division 1’s top-ranked team cruise to a 43-3 over Groveport. He was an integral part of a 399-yard offensive performance.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Big Walnut - #44 Caden Williams (Sr.) RB, 6’0 185 -</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Big Walnut has been a huge offensive juggernaut all season. Caden rushed for 189 yards and scored 3 times in a 31-0 win over Worthington Kilbourne. A tough runner with great vision, burst, and wiggle.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Westerville South - #16 Peter Pedrozo (Sr.) QB, 5’11 178 -</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">The Pedrozo train keeps chugging out top performances. Threw 5 touchdown passes last night to multiple receivers. Helped Westerville South cruise to an easy victory over Delaware.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Olentangy Orange - #1 Caden Konczak (Sr.) WR, 5’9 165 -</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Caden is a multidimensional dynamo at the receiver position. He can affect a defense in many ways. In a 31-14 victory over Upper Arlington had 5 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown.</div>
<div></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Dublin Scioto - #7 Amare Jenkins (Jr.) QB, 6’3 170 -</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">This 2022 stud continues to impress. In a 41-0 shutout of Franklin Heights spun the ball around for 310 yards and 4 touchdown passes.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<h3 dir="ltr">NORTHEAST OHIO</h3>
<p dir="ltr"><strong> Richtell Mcallister - Streetsboro, 18 carries 236 yards 4 TDs :</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">In a high scoring game, Richtell came up big delivering 4 TDs and 236 yards on only 18 carries vs cloverleaf, continuing to make a huge impact as a late transfer onto the Streetsboro team. Keep your eye on Richtell as he will be going on to play D1 ball at the next level.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Preston Taylor - Copley, 25 carries 201 yards 4 TDs:</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">In a dominant rout of Rival Talmadge, Preston Taylor of Copley dominated in a memorable way carrying the ball 25 times and rushing for 201 yards and 4 TDs for Copley. With Preston only being a junior, we have much more of him to look forward to over the next season in a half.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Jack Crotty - Strongsville, 30 Carries 188 yards 2 TDs:</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">Jack Crotty had a big evening vs Euclid carrying much of the workload rushing 30 times for 188 yards and 2 TDs. Jack was big time in ensuring that Strongsville would come home with the victory.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Gage Duesler - Avon Lake, 204 yards 3 TDs:</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">Gage showed a gutty performance rushing for 204 yards and 3 TDs against conference foe Amherst. Grinding it out carrying his team to a Week 4 victory.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34252" first="Martavien" last="Johnson"], [player_tooltip player_id="34269" first="Jumacius" last="Portis"] and MIke Miller - Massillon Defense </strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">Massillon showed up big time on defense on the account of big-time play from their defense. The defense held a tough and talented Cleveland Benedictine to only 10 points. They made timely stops and caused big-time turnovers in clutch moments. Stand out performances include CB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id="34252" first="Martavien" last="Johnson"] with a late-game interception to put the game away, DE Mike Miller with several huge sacks and tackles for loss, and MLB [player_tooltip player_id="34269" first="Jumacius" last="Portis"] who is the general on defense making sure everything runs smoothly. He also contributed with a late-game rushing touchdown as well.</p>
<h3 dir="ltr"><strong>SOUTHWEST OHIO </strong></h3>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Te’Sean QB Smoot (Springfield)-</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Junior Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="34392" first="Te’Sean" last="Smoot"] was 18-31 for an impressive 400 and 3 touchdowns through the air while adding 2 more touchdowns on the ground in a 38-35 loss to Northmont on Friday night. Smoot can make all of the throws and shows great touch on the deep routes. Even though he took some hits he was a gamer until the end. Smoot has offers from a bevy of MAC schools and holds an offer from Kentucky, and is getting interest from schools like West Virginia and Iowa State.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34251" first="Cade" last="Rice"] QB (Northmont)-</strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Smoot’s Senior counterpart [player_tooltip player_id="34251" first="Cade" last="Rice"] also had a huge game for the Thunderbolts. Rice went 20 for 43 for 295 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air and added another 91 yards and touchdown on the ground on 15 carries. At 6’3 205, Rice has a great frame to build on and can make all of the throws. He has impressive arm-strength, but to go along with that a very compact throwing motion that results in a quick release. He’s also a great athlete that can also hurt you with his feet. Cade is getting interest from the likes of Iowa State, Kansas, Rutgers, and Indiana.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34186" first="Rod" last="Moore"] (Northmont)- </strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">See a trend yet? The Michigan commit had a huge night at wide receiver making plays all over the field. Moore leads the Thunderbolts in receiving with 11 catches for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns which included a 60 yard TD catch and run. Moore was recruited as a safety, but if I’m honest I like him more as a WR. He has all the makings of a big-play receiver in college. Good release, fast, great hands, and tracks the ball well.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Ben Hambleton (Elder)- </strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Hambleton has had a stellar junior season thus far for the Panthers, and last night was no different. He had a very efficient night completing 23 of 27 for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 35-22 win over Cincinnati Moeller. On the season Hambleton is completing an amazing 76% of his passes and has thrown for 14 touchdowns and 0 interceptions! Ben has a solid arm and is extremely smart and accurate with his throws as evidence by his efficiency, he puts the ball in places where only his guy can get it. He’s flying under the recruiting radar right now, but that shouldn’t last long with the kind of season he’s having.</div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<div>
<div></div>
<div dir="ltr"><strong>Moise Armbruster (Springboro)- </strong></div>
<div dir="ltr"></div>
<div dir="ltr">Armbruster continues to put together a strong senior season adding a 134 yards and a touchdown on just 15 carries in a 35-22 win over Centerville. Moise is another player that seems to be deserving of more exposure. Armbruster is averaging 142 yards a game on the ground with 7 TD’s on the season in just 3 games. While maybe smaller in size he displays great vision and quickness once he hits the hole.</div>

<div dir="ltr"></div>
<h3 dir="ltr"><strong>NORTHWEST OHIO </strong></h3>
<strong>Connor Waldenzak, 2023 RB, Perrysburg </strong>
Waldenzak has done it again! The 2023 RB from Perrysburg has become a household name in the Northern Lakes League as he had 3 TD’s vs Napoleon. Connor is already committed to Purdue but for baseball. In last night’s matchup, Waldenzak showed his toughness as he bounced off multiple defenders and by putting his elusiveness on display. College coaches keep your eye on the 4-0 Perrysburg Yellowjackets and budding star Tailback, Connor Waldenzak.
<h3><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Kaden Holmes, 2023 QB, Fremont Ross </span></strong></h3>
The little Giants of Fremont Ross has put the Three Rivers Athletic Conference on notice. Super Sophomore QB, Kaden Holmes had a stellar game vs Whitmer on Friday night. Holmes racked up 170 passing yards with 4 TDs to top it off. Kaden also rushed for close to 100 yards in a breakout game for him in the ground game. His top target was 6’2 175lb 2023 WR, Anthony Van. Van was targeted 5 times and 3 ended up in Touchdowns. This is a young team with tons of talent, watch out for the Little Giants vs St. Johns Jesuit in week 5 action.
<strong>Cade Zimmerly, 2021 OL, Perrysburg</strong>
Cade is one of the best blockers in the state of Ohio. Zimmerly does not have the 6’6 frame but his blocking abilities are superior! Perrysburg has been enjoying a fruitful rushing attack in the 2020 season and it gets better when the ball is run to the left side of the line. Cade is a 4-year varsity starter and has made all-league in each of those seasons. Waldenzak credits his line for the gaps that are created but when Zimmerly is in the lead 5 yards can easily turn into a touchdown.
<strong>Grant Davis, 2021 OL, Ottawa Hills </strong>
The Green bears have their guy in Grant Davis. Davis is a big-time lacrosse player in the offseason and during the season his likes to punish guys upfront. Davis helped the Ottawa Hills topple the Cardinals of Cardinal Stritch in what I would call an "Old Fashioned Slobber Knocker". Davis is one of the more dominant offensive linemen in the area and last night he rose to the occasion and helped lead his team to a big victory. His footwork and toughness present a problem for all challenging defensive linemen.
<strong>Charles Green, 2022 WR, St Francis de Sales </strong>
Charles has emerged into a big-time playmaker to keep your eyes on. In a blow out victory over the Clay Eagles, Charles had 3 Receptions for 80 yards on 5 targets with a touchdown. You might say his "NuMbeRs ArEn’t GoOd" but this kid is an impact player. His downfield blocking has improved tremendously from week one to Friday night. These are little hints that Charles is becoming a complete package as a WR prospect. His breakaway speed was very evident on a 50 yard WR screen that he took to the crib.
