Analysis: The Cougars took home the 2019 state title in dominating fashion last year and they return the talent to repeat as state champions in 2020. The tandem of junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="30214" first="Joey" last="Silveri"] and senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="29554" first="Jace" last="Williams"] will be difficult for opposing defenses to stop as both players are some of the best in the state at their positions. Combining the Silveri and Williams tandem with running back [player_tooltip player_id="29778" first="Nick" last="Hollern"], wide receiver Devin Fridley-Bell and tight end [player_tooltip player_id="29866" first="Danny" last="Krajewski"] will make the Cougar offense one of the best in the state. The team loses most of their starters on defense, but they return one of the best safeties in the state in junior [player_tooltip player_id="30137" first="Nolan" last="Ziegler"]. Senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="30082" first="Isaiah" last="Hicks"] and junior defensive end [player_tooltip player_id="30288" first="Brady" last="Redmer"] are two players that could break out this season. There are some question marks on defense, but this offense should be one of the best in the state and the team has the overall talent to make another run at the state title this season.
