St. Ed vs. Massillon Standout Players

It was a wet and rainy night for the Tigers and Eagles, but the bands were playing and the pads cracking at Tiger stadium Friday night. The most important thing, FOOTBALL IS BACK!
The star players on the field:

Thomas played both sides of the ball and was dominate. On the offensive-line he was displacing defensive lineman three to four gaps and finishing them regularly. On defense he came up with a huge sack in the second to last defensive series.
<strong>Joel Castleberry</strong>- CB 2022 6'0'' 165
Joel started the night with an impressing 95 yard kick off return for the touchdown.
<strong>Jaylen Castleberry</strong>- CB 2021 6’0’’ 180
Jaylen was given the challenging task to guard [player_tooltip player_id="34182" first="Jayden" last="Ballard"] (Ohio State commit). It was a great match-up.
<strong>Christian Rammos</strong>- QB 2022 6’1’’ 180
Christian did a great job of taking care of the ball and ran it extremely well. His numbers were not flashy but he got the job done when it was needed.
<strong>CJ Hankins</strong>- LB 2021 5’11’’ 220
CJ had a huge interception at the end of the game to set up the Eagles for their final score.
<strong>Charles Calhoun</strong>- DE 2021 6’0’’ 220
Charles had some QB pressures late in the game to help the Eagles secure the victory.

Jayden the Ohio State commit was as good or better than advertised. He had two long touchdown receptions and an impressive interception.
<strong>John Kouth</strong>- OG 2021 6’2’’ 295
The Tigers either ran the ball to the left (his side) or pulled him to lead on just about every run call. Their ground game was dominate throughout the game.
<strong>Zach Catrone</strong>- QB 2021 6’0’’ 210
Zach did a great job getting the ball to his play-makers. He continued to put his team in situations to score points.
<strong>Alex Bauer</strong>- K 2021 5’10’’ 199
Alex was three for three on field goals.
<strong>Raekwon Venson</strong>- RB 2021 5’9’’ 215
Raekwon stood out in the game. He ran tough and was a load to bring down.
<strong>Terrence Rankl</strong>- OT 2021 6’5’’ 290
Terrence is a University of Pittsburgh commit and he did a good job keeping the eagles defensive ends in check most of the game.
St. Ed's ended up pulling off the victory 24-23.
