Barrett Carter Barrett Carter 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB North Gwinnett | 2021 State GA – Linebacker – North Gwinnett
One of the top overall prospects in the country, the North Gwinnett star checks all the boxes at linebacker. He is a true sideline to sideline defender with great speed and good size at 6-foot-1 220-pounds. He has great instincts, he’s a sure tackler, and he is a true leader on defense. His speed stands out the most, but Carter also knows how to strike and get off tackles. He shows great effort and has a true nose to the football. The high four-star knows how to cover, he can rush the passer, and he’s an exceptional athlete. He can do anything asked of him at linebacker, and that’s why he earned offers from just about every top program in the country. Carter committed to Clemson over offers from Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, among others.
Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA – Defensive Back – Collins Hill
Hunter has everything you look for in an elite defensive back. One of the top overall athletes in the state, Hunter is a lean 6-foot-1165-pound defensive back with incredible ball skills. As a sophomore last season, Hunter more than held his own against some of the top receivers in the state, including 5-star tight end and current LSU Tiger Arik Gilbert. Not only does Hunter have great cover skills, he’s also one of the state’s biggest playmakers. He’s a turnover machine and is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball. He can return kicks, punts, and can even make an impact at receiver. The future Florida State Seminole could push for 5-star status with another great season this fall.
Sam Horn Sam Horn 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB Collins Hill | 2022 State GA – Quarterback – Collins Hill
The 6-foot-4 190-pounder from Suwanee is possible the hottest QB prospect in the entire country after seeing his recruitment take off in May. As a sophomore starter last fall, Horn proved himself to be one of the state’s best, showcasing elite arm strength and excellent mobility. He’s got a great frame with room to add even more muscle and strength on his throws. He has great pocket presence, impressive footwork, and knows how to get the ball out quickly. He can hit the slant route consistently, and he knows how to push the ball down the field. He can throw darts when he needs too, but he also knows how to put some touch on his throws. Horn holds offers from Tennessee, Michigan State, Kentucky, among others. Look for more schools to jump on board sooner than later.
Caleb Downs Caleb Downs 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Mill Creek | 2023 State GA – Defensive Back – Mill Creek
The 2023 class in Georgia is absolutely loaded at defensive back, and one of the best is safety Caleb Downs Caleb Downs 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Mill Creek | 2023 State GA . He’s a tremendous athlete at 5-foot-11 180-pounds who already holds offers from Georgia, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, among others. As a freshman starter last year, Downs intercepted 3 passes and took one of them back for a touchdown. He shows great footwork and does a good job of covering the back end of the field. He has great ball skills, but more importantly, he’s a reliable tackler. He has great size for his age and could possibly move down into the box more as he puts on more mass. There’s already a lot to like about his game, and he’s going to get better and better over the next three years. Look for Downs to be ranked as one of the highest safety prospects in the country for the 2023 class.
