In the months following their 4A state championship win – in dramatic fashion over Jacksonville Bolles – a number of changes began to take place in Miami’s Overtown community. Spending one season as co-head coach along with Earl Tillman, popular Ben Hanks decided to step back and be a major voice as an assistant once again. In addition, the senior class moved on along with one of the nation’s top junior receivers, Jacorey Brooks Jacorey Brooks 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR IMG Academy | 2021 State FL , who is now at IMG Academy for his final season before headed to Alabama. This program has always been productive – leaning on their own players with a little help from others. Remember, before the start of the 2019 season, this team lost 6 players, four who had a major role for 5A state champion Miami Northwestern, so they know how to overcome adversity. As Gerald Cox comes in to take the head coaching reigns from Coconut Creek, he inherits senior quarterback Torey Morrison Torey Morrison 5'8" | 160 lbs | QB Booker T.
