With that said, we are going to take a look at the top skill position players from as many districts as possible in the state before fall camps begin.
Some of these players are already receiving college interest, while others are looking to catch the eye of that right coach.
Keagan Glesking – Gladbrook-Reinbeck
Several players carried the ball for Gladbrook-Reinbeck in 2019, but Keagan Glesking was the best at it.
Glesking racked up 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns on 149 attempts, averaging 9.4 yards per carry. He also caught a couple of passes and had 11 tackles for loss on defense among his 58 stops.
Marcus Kolesar – Victor-HLV
In all, Marcus Kolesar recorded 22 offensive touchdowns last season as a junior for Victor-HLV.
Kolesar had 199 carries for 1,362 yards with 19 TDs, averaging just under seven yards per rush. He also caught seven passes for 86 more yards and threw two scores.
You can bet the offense will revolve around the Class of 2021 standout again as he also made 66 tackles on defense and averaged 12 yards per kickoff and 17 yards per punt returns.
Taurice Grant – Meskwaki Settlement
A standout on the basketball court, Taurice Grant also shines as a football player for Meskwaki Settlement.
Grant had 34 receptions for 733 yards and 11 TDs last year, averaging almost 22 yards per catch. He also recorded 61 tackles with 40 being solo stops and 4.5 for loss on defense.
Grant forced three turnovers and handled nine kickoff returns, averaging almost 20 yards per touch.
