All-State MN Prep Transfer Announcement: NDSU -> ?
We got an exciting one here, folks! Last night, after researching and going through rosters of the various NSIC schools for our <em>PrepRedzoneMN </em>featured series breaking down the Minnesota commits in each class, I stumbled upon something big. In a surprise and under the radar transfer, former <em>Winona Daily News </em>Player of the Year and AP/MN Vikings All-State team member <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="2110" first="Terrell" last="Hall"] </strong>has apparently left the powerhouse North Dakota State Bison and is now playing for the DII national runner-up Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks. It was both a shocking and intriguing find, as in my mind the former <em>Winhawks </em>standout was basically a lock to eventually become a contributor for the Bison after he wrapped-up his more than impressive prep career in 2019. <strong>Hall </strong>started three years for <em>Winona </em>and lettered four times in his high school career that saw him help the <em>Winhawks </em>to a 39-6 overall record and three state playoff appearances in his tenure. Twice named All-District and once District Special Teams Player of the Year, <strong>Hall </strong>holds the <em>Winona </em>school record with 99 career receptions and also finished with a more than impressive 3,392 career all-purpose yards and 27 TDs to go along with 85 tackles, 11 interceptions, and three pick-sixes.

His high school highlight tape is a ridiculous mix of big plays, long TDs, and wanna-be tacklers being absolutely embarrassed by the shifty and explosive former <em>Winhawks </em>#4. With his obvious athleticism and NDSU’s ability to convert Minnesota offensive studs to find glory in their defensive backfield, it really is a surprise that <strong>Hall </strong>transferred down to the DII level, but it’s a gigantic pickup for the Mavericks and <strong>Hall </strong>will still be able to play college football at a very high level. The 5’11, 190 lber. is listed as a CB and wearing number 27 for MSU, and after retaining his redshirt from plying in one game and recording one tackle last fall, he still has four years of eligibility remaining.
