2020-21 MN Recruiting Hotbeds: Anoka

As we have moved on from the 2019 season and recruiting has heated up in the winter - we have seen signing days pass and upcoming junior days began to be planned. With these commitments and visits being reported, Northstar Football News is going in-depth to reveal which of Minnesota’s high school program’s hold some of the deepest and most talented recruiting classes in the state. This fifth edition to the series will take us about a half hour Northwest of Minneapolis to Anoka, MN. The town of around 17,000 is about to be well known for something else besides being the “Halloween Capital of the World”: it’s football team’s athletic & talented c/o 2021 recruiting class. Despite the school’s struggles the past few years, this years Tornadoes roster features a ton of athletic, strong kids who have a ton of varsity reps and a chip on their shoulder, and they are deservingly receiving collegiate interest from teams at the Division I, II, III, and NAIA level, and are poised to vastly improve upon their 1-8 2019 regular season record and tough section loss to Eden Prairie HS. While they did graduate some ballers, Anoka’s 2021 senior class is even better this next year, and Northstar Football News is happy to present this Anoka Tornado edition of “2020-21 MN Recruiting Hotbeds” where we will take a closer examination at the impressive ‘21 senior class.
