<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Last season’s runner-up is the big-school favorite this offseason. Eden Prairie returns eight starters and should have the services of <strong>Benny Sapp III</strong>, the No. 1 ranked recruit in <u><strong><a href="http://www.northstarfootballnews.com/2018-prospect-rankings"><span style="color:#B22222">Minnesota’s Class of 2018</span></a></strong></u> who’s coming off a knee injury.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Five of the returners are on offense, including quarterback <strong>Cole Kramer </strong>and running back <strong>Solo Falaniko</strong>. Kramer settled into the starting role under center as a sophomore, finishing with over 900 yards and 12 touchdowns, against zero interceptions. Falaniko should again be the Eagles bell cow in the backfield after rushing for over 1,400 yards with 17 scores last fall.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The Eagles defense won’t be as talented as last season’s group, which earned seven shutouts. The strength of the unit will be the secondary with Sapp, <strong>D.J. Johnson</strong>, and <strong>Kyler Kluge</strong> all returning. Senior <strong>Antonio Montero</strong>, an All-District Honorable Mention performer last season, will continue to hold down the middle linebacker position.</span></span></p>
