About Zyvion

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a physical, downhill defensive back who plays with confidence and toughness. I excel in zone coverage with strong awareness, communication, and run support. I’m versatile, coachable, and willing to line up wherever the defense needs me to help the team win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a calm, focused, and disciplined competitor who prepares the right way and plays fast. I take coaching well, communicate on the field, and pride myself on being reliable, consistent, and assignment sound.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned the importance of communication and leadership on the field by speaking up and making sure everyone is aligned. I understand the value of doing my job first, playing within the system, and trusting my teammates. I take pride in being disciplined, assignment sound, and putting the team’s success above individual plays.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to exploring different colleges and finding the right fit both academically and athletically. I’m looking for a program that values development, accountability, and hard work, and where I can continue to grow as a student and as a football player.

Zyvion Hicks Zyvion Hicks Zyvion Hicks 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB/WR Riverbend | 2027 State VA was a standout safety for RHS in 2025, and he has a good feel for the game. This usually resulted in him being in advantageous positions more often than not when defending the pass. He’s also a great tackler and isn’t afraid to step up against the run, which is something that college coaches love to see.

He’s been to quite a few football camps this summer (Liberty, Gardner-Webb, ODU), and it should kickstart his recruiting outlook for his senior season. He recently received an offer from VMI, and it most likely won’t be his last this summer.
