One thing strikes us about Plainfield wide receiver Zander Nattam: speed. He knows one gear, and that’s fast. Nattam is a speedy receiver who helps stretch the defense and gets in and out of his breaks quickly. He doesn’t lose momentum when he’s changing direction and can create space just about anywhere on the field. I feel he has started to put everything together, and as he enters his senior year, it’ll be key for him to put it all together one last time.

He recorded 930 yards and 14 touchdowns from scrimmage last fall. He is a very good inside receiver with great body adjustment, good burst and speed downfield and great top-end to break away if he gets the ball in space. Keep an eye on him to make an even bigger impact at Plainfield in 2026.

Nattam was all over the field against Mooresville, and they just couldn’t stop him. He found separation at the top of his routes and was constantly open downfield. He caught 9 passes for 140 yards and scored 4 TDs. His ability to catch in tight spaces, and as guys were closing in, was clear, and he looked good.

Nattam looks set to step into a starting role this fall, and I think he’s ready to make some noise. He’s got good speed and changes direction about as well as anyone I’ve seen in this group. He stays light on his feet, doesn’t slow down when cutting, and just has that natural feel for finding space. I like his upside a lot and think once he gets comfortable with more reps, he’s going to be a real problem for defenses. I’m excited to see what he does with a bigger role.
