A premier run-stuffer, Holmes is a load on the inside and controls his gaps well. He’s tough to run by, but he doesn’t just clear the way for his linebackers to make tackles, he makes plenty of stops himself. I’m still waiting on some of the pass-rushing juice, but his motor suggests the sack numbers will come.

Not only does Holmes control the line of scrimmage and force runs away from their intended holes, but he displays the quickness to get off blocks and actually make plays. He’s still developing a pass-rushing set, difficult when playing run-heavy teams, but the physical tools and run-game discipline are there for the talented Bessemer City player.

Zaire I thought, was athletic for his size and showed some good movement throughout individual drills and the Agility Circuit. Zaire also showed some pass rush burst during 1 on 1’s, showing that he can be a three-down player for the Yellow Jackets this season. His performance boosted him into our updated Class of 2026 player rankings which were released earlier this week.
