About Zahir

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a defensive lineman, I use my size to dominate at the line of scrimmage. At 6’0” and 230 pounds, I bring a mix of strength and quickness that makes it hard for offensive linemen to handle me one-on one. I stay low, use my hands well, and know how to get off blocks fast. Against the run, I hold my ground and close gaps, making it tough for backs to find room. When I rush the passer, I use my pow

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the field is simple: dominate every snap. I line up with the mindset that nobody across from me is going to stop me. I don’t take plays off, and I don’t back down I bring intensity from the first whistle to the last. I take pride in being the one who sets the tone up front, whether it’s stuffing the run or getting pressure on the quarterback. I stay locked in, focused, and ready

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes I have received honor roll in school every year but I’m not in no clubs

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football has taught me a lot more than just how to play the game. I’ve gained discipline from all the hours of practice, weight training, and film study. It’s helped me develop mental toughness learning how to push through when I’m tired, how to stay focused under pressure, and how to bounce back from mistakes. I’ve also learned the importance of teamwork and communication, especially on the def

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in football is learning how to stay mentally tough through adversity. Whether it’s pushing through tough practices, dealing with losses, or competing against older and more experienced players, I’ve had to keep showing up and giving my best no matter what. At times, I’ve faced doubts or pressure, but I’ve learned to use that as motivation. I’ve also had to

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will push me both athletically and academically. I want a football program that has a strong culture, great coaching, and a track record of developing defensive linemen for the next level. I’m focused on finding a place where I can compete, grow, and contribute early — somewhere that values hard work, toughness, and discipline. Off the field, I want a school that off

Every great defense starts up front, and in the Class of 2031, there’s a 6-foot defensive lineman Zahir Patterson Zahir Patterson Zahir Patterson 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL GA plays the position with a level of nastiness you just can’t coach. This kid is violent with his hands, explosive off the snap, and relentless in pursuit — the kind of player offensive coordinators circle in red ink all week. He’s a monster in the trenches, collapsing pockets, shedding blocks like paper, and hunting down quarterbacks with bad intentions. You want disruption? He brings it. You want someone who eats double-teams and still finds the ball? That’s him. Every team needs a defensive lineman like this kid, but only a few get one.

He’s built like a beast, moves like an edge rusher, and plays with the mindset of someone who refuses to be blocked. His motor never cuts off — whistle to whistle, snap after snap, he’s a problem that doesn’t let up. Whether it’s swallowing run lanes, blowing up screens, or flattening a pulling guard, he sets the tone physically and mentally. Opposing offenses feel him before they see him, and once he gets his hands on you the play is over. The future is bright — and for quarterbacks standing across from him — it’s terrifying.
