Mantz is more known for his ability as a receiver but he had a very good game on the defensive side of the ball. He lined up as a hybrid linebacker/defensive back. He was a very effective blitzer and was able to make plays in the backfield. He was able to open the game with a sack off a blitz. He was also very good in coverage and was able to get his hands on the ball on multiple occasions and break up passes. Mantz is also still a very talented receiver.
