Zachary is just starting to stratch the surface of what he could potentially be. The junior checked in at 6’1″ 245 lbs with a 6’4.5″ wingspan and 10.5″ hands. The big fella can move too. He ran a 5.00 40, 4.66 shuttle, and a 7.28 L-Drill. Being that big while also being able to bend, drop your weight, and burst in another direction is a tough trait to learn and develop. Zach has that and also showed it in some of his pass rushing battles. Safka had a strong junior season on the field and carried it over to the offseason. He will be one to watch this coming summer.

The junior DL out of Greenfield was living in the offensive backfield in Week 2. Especially when it came to passing situations, which were plentiful vs the Racine Park offense. It was completely unfair watching him against TEs or OTs on the edge as he bull rushed them right into the lap of the QB leading to play breakdowns. The highlight reel shows a high motor too, not only making those impact plays but also pursuing outside of the pocket or across the formation to keep pressure on the QB.

Another underclassman with eye-catching physical tools is Zachary Safka Zachary Safka 6'2" | 245 lbs | DL Greenfield | 2027 State WI out of Greenfield High School. The sophomore checked in at 6′ 221 lbs, but the best part was his 6’7″ wingspan and 10.25″ hands. Numbers you don’t hear or see often, and they tell me that we could see big things ahead for Safka as he continues to grow physically. The sophomore did a good job of getting his hands on and getting separation with that length. As he continues to grow, get stronger, and develop his pass rush moves we could see big leaps in Zach’s game.
