There are some prospects that just flat out have “IT”. As soon as I turned on the tape for Abdus-Salaam and watched a play or two, I put my feet up on the desk, sat back and just watching it. Though he’s from Essex County, he suits up for The SHO, which is part of the Staten Island Hurricanes Organization (SHO) out of New York. He lists himself at 5-foot-10 and 135-pounds and while his size is unconfirmed, he plays significantly bigger than whatever his size is. I’ve talked to coaches and parents alike, who have seen a fair amount of travel ball in Tri-State Area and his name often comes up.
