Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the fastest and most explosive tight ends across the South in the 2028 class, Brinson is a big target in the passing game with strong hands and the ability to pick up big yards after the catch. He’s physically gifted at 6-foot-6 210-pounds and is fresh off an eye-opening sophomore season for Arabia Mountain. The big-play tight end caught 30 passes for 469 yards and six touchdowns, showing why he’s easily one of the state’s top tight end prospects across all classifications. His stock is on the rise ands he could be tough to stop as a junior in 2026.

An impressive pass-catching tight end with impressive size, above-average ball skills, and a big target in the middle of the field, Brinson runs really well for size and showed he’s a big-play weapon in the passing game last year. The sure-handed 6-foot-6 21-pounder caught 30 passes last season for 469 yards and six touchdowns. He’s a threat in the middle of the field and does a terrific job of picking up yards after the catch. He’s ranked as the No. 4 TE prospect and recently earned a new offer from the North Carolina Tar Heels. Just a sophomore, look for Brinson to have an even bigger junior season in 2026. Don’t be surprised if more Power Four offers come his way over the next several months.

Scouting Report
Brinson is another Freshman that stood out on a 1-9 team. Great size at 6’6 210, he is fluid route runner with good hands and has good athleticism for his size. A big downfield target for the Rams catching 35 passes for 535 yards. He had a season high 9 catches against Stephenson, a team that made the semifinals. A rarity to see a freshman with his height have the ability to play all the skill positions on both sides of the ball. A next level prospect.

The 6’6 220 Brinson earned 2nd Team All Region honors at the TE spot but he did most of his damage split out wide. Huge target at 6’6 and has good hands that catches passes in stride. He caught 35 passes this season for 534 yards with 5 TDs. I’m excited about the upside with this prospect. He has a great football IQ, god giving size, and good athleticism. Depending on his physical development over the next 3 years, Brinson has the potential to standout at a multitude of positions. A 6’6 athlete is a rare find.

has exploded onto the varsity scene through 3 games, averaging nearly 17 YPC with 232 yards and 3 TDs. Brinson has been listed anywhere from 6’4-6’6 and hovers around the 210-215 range. Simply put, his athletic traits and measurables are off the charts for his age. Brinson is a TE projection given his size and speed profile. He isn’t a burner, but he is a walking mismatch. DBs will have to battle for leverage constantly during their routes, and he requires several defenders to bring him down once he gets going in space. He is a willing participator as a blocker, which will continue to improve as he gets older. Brinson is already a man amongst boys at a young age. P4 teams have offered, and I have a feeling he will be one of the headliners of the 2028 class in Georgia.
