Ukponu has seen his stock rise over the last two seasons and he is one the top interior defenders in the state of Texas. He is stout at the point of attack, he plays with great balance and he has an explosive get off at the snap. Xavier plays with a high motor, he has the speed to play sideline to sideline and he closes on the ball carrier with violent intentions. He is a big reason that Guyer has started out the season 2-0 and he will be a key defender for the Wildcats as they expect to make a deep playoff run in 2024. Ukponu committed to Wisconsin this offseason.
