I only caught a glimpse of Davis at this camp, but he moved extremely well. One thing that stood out was that when he was doing backpedal-to-turn drills, he was in perfect harmony with his teammate #291. In unison, Davis and his partner weaved as if they were synchronized swimmers.

Davis does so many things well that he is the ultimate versatility piece in West Orange’s 33 Stack defense. Lining off the edge, Davis has the strength to hold up the point of attack, but also the agility and speed to redirect, flatten, and cover too. When tackling we see Davis break down well. Davis looks to emphasize the his physicality by delivering his body to break up pass attempts. That same physicality is what allows him to set the edge when walked down at scrimmage. Davis has shown hands and quickness when pass rushing. I am not sure there is a more intriguing prospect in this graduating class than Davis. At moments I see Davis as a dog safety – either high or rolled down at the line – in their front; while other times I see a stacked mike, a high safety, or covering the slot.
