We could only find a couple of throws from Wilson’s 2025 season on a Monticello highlight video posted on his Hudl page. What stands out first is that he’s not going to scare anybody getting off of the bus at 5-5, 145. However, he is only a freshman and the clips show he can get the job done. Wilson drops a dime into the bucket on a 29-yard completion down the left sideline. He then zips a 16-yard touchdown pass down the seam. Hopefully, we get a season highlight video from Wilson down the road. He was among the state’s top ninth-graders with 772 passing yards and six touchdowns. He completed 54.3 percent of his passes, and added 193 yards and a pair of scores on the ground. His 24.5 tackles (16 solo, 1.0 TFL) illustrate his toughness and athleticism, which leave open the door for a position other than quarterback on the next level, depending on development.
Out of the skill position guys in Iowa’s 2029 Class, Wilson shot out to fast start in his first high school campaign. While their were growing pains, Wilson ranked first among all in-state ninth-graders playing 11-on-11 with four total touchdowns, including three passing. On top of that, he paced the Panthers with 18.0 tackles, 13 of which were solo stops. Wilson is a good overall athlete. He started for the Monticello baseball team this past summer, contributing as a batter, fielder and pitcher. Wilson is one to watch moving forward.
