Played his sophomore year at a lesser weight, 220, so the kid is used to running routes, is bulking up now.
Catch percentage almost immediately favors Thurber when in jump ball, high-point situations given his height and hand-eye coordination.
Works in the slot if he’s not in-line or lined up in the backfield.
An obvious option in the red zone, can attack via corner or out routes.
Works well with Geer when plays break down.
When not inside the red zone, Thurber provides a wide radius in the middle of the field that Geer can chuck the ball into. Seam, seam benders, over routes, this kid can eat between the hash marks.
